I love this head..Mortimer´s history is really sad and rainman´s work capture this detail in the expression of the look.
;)
A treasure.

Hi all,

One of my friend, Lalla, painted a Rainman's blondie.
He said it is 90% done but I think it is 100%... :lol
I hope you like his work.

And don't forget the head sculpt pre-order starts tomorrow on e-ureka shop.

Thanks,

Raimond...Cartoon version? well I supose my poor painting job detract the impressive sculpting work of the American Jim Maddox, but it´s just my opinion. I´m still thinking that in this case we have been priced with two very nice and acurated works but I think Jim´s work it´s closer to the likeness of our admired Clint.

Anyway just let me introduce you a friend.

Raimond...let me introduce you to Mr Clint Estwood.
Mr Eastwood...let me introduce you to Mr Raimond.

;)

Those heads are painted by Paco Bird (first and second one) and Josh (the last one)

I love their works.
Thank you!

By the way Elvis, impressive version. Looks really great, very nice work.
Thanks for sharing pictures.
;)

You defend it like you sculpted it yourself. And you might be a tad biased against since you have the Maddox one in hand, and have put time, energy and money into making your own version.

Why the pissing contest guys? Both sculpts are great, neither perfect and both are great interpretations of the man with no name and both have their own strengths and weaknesses. And of course a great or poor paint job can accentuate or mask those strengths and weaknesses.

Excuse me?
Defend it like if I sculpted?

I just express my opinion. In every moment I say both works are pretty well done, but I think that IMO Jim Madox is best, thats all and it cost just 18USD with hat and I think 10 with full hair. I just post the picture to save time to Raimond looking for those pictures.

And I might be a tad biased against?...I´m desagreed with this. But I have to admit that as soon as I saw the first time Jim Madox´s version I thought, it got to be mine, that´s all, and that kind of feeling it´s not under my skin when I see this version. I like it so much but... comparing both, well. I have my preferences and talk about it. I think this is the right place to do it.
That´s all.

I really don´t see my opinions as a kind of contest, just a point of view. And in that point of view I think...Jim madox version cost me 18USD and I think it´s great (for me the greatest one,I insist this is just my point of view) Rainman would takes me 40 USD...more than double and even it´s great and all the details are pretty well done makes me think about what I´ll be doing when I have the chance to buy one. I just pay atention to every single thing when I express how I see it.

That´s all man.

ya I see no confrontation here, just two guys giving their opinions respectfully! Either way, as long as everyone has great figures, we all win!

I'm all for sharing opinions, but is the same opinion repeated over and over again, ad nauseum necessary? No offense intended, but we get it. :duh You prefer the Maddox sculpt, your vest, poncho, etc. more than Rainman's version. And yes, we know it is just your point of view, just as every post is the poster's p.o.v. But don't get your feathers ruffled. I just don't want to see this thread turn into another redundant "I like it but this is better" back and forth as so many do in this forum. :duff

Hey Zuno,

Do you know if it will be possible to combine orders for heads with orders we have already placed?

I just added an unpainted head to the shopping cart on Rainman's site. The shipping was $35. I would like to place another order, but the shipping is killing me. If I place an order, can Rainman ship it with the Eastwood set I have already paid for?

Nauseum?
Good job, most of all if you are not trying to be offensive. Don´t worry you aren´t offensive.

But, just check other opinions and you will see my point of view is not a little voice alone in the desert.

Anyway, it looks like the "problem" were not what I say but all the times I repeat the same words?

Excuse me, I did not have any idea about how often I can talk about something till I´m growing redundant.

Of course is the same opinion repeated over and over, sure I use to think the same about the same unless I change my mind. If you see I participate with that redundant opinion when other users talked in the same direction.

Anyway I pay attention to the things you don´t want to see here. I would hate to be boring to you.

By the way Entropy, of course I prefer my poncho and my vest. Me and many people who now is happy with it because they bough it or because I send for free the patterns. Such happy that some of then sent me the ones they did (ponchos) as a present so please let me have an opinion again and again.

Look for everywhere more people who ship to you for free his best work and when you find them please give me their contacts.

Looks just if you were just a little upset reading what I say. Sorry about that.

Have a great day Entropy as I will.

I wasn't upset in the least, just wondering why this guy has to continue repeating himself. Sorry if you took offense. Not trying to marginalize your voice or put you on the defensive. I guess I should've used more smilies. :) :) :) You are obviously very vocal and passionate, which is cool. Maybe it's just the language barrier?

Sooner or later "the bad" will be announced and we can all move on. :duff

Sorry didn't mean to ruffle anyone's feathers or stir any pot. Thanks Litial for sharing those very nice paint ups. We're lucky to have options as we're not likely to ever get a good figure of what in my opinion is a staple of any collection, otherwise. I still see a lot more clint in Rainman's sculpt but both have their strengths and weaknesses. Price point is always a touchy subject when it comes to someones work. I do creative freelance work and the more time it takes the higher it's value is, so for the craftmanship I can see why Rainman needs to price his higher, for me though, I'll pay what I have to within reason to get my favorite version in the end.

Just glad to have a figure of this to proudly stand alongside the other things in my shelves!

Zuno Lala's paint ups just blew me away, I know Studio DF is painting the head ad outfit set and I know it will be great too but her painting is one of the best I've seen! the skin spots look great, her painting really goes a long way to show off how great the sculpt is.

Yes. Please leave your comments about combined shipping when you order.
In case, PM me your order numbers for combined shipping.

Thanks,

Lalla is a man not woman... :lol
Anyway, I'll tell him your kind words.

Thanks,

Well I have to admit (But I will deny it if you tell somebody) jejeje ;) I was just a little upset ;) ;) ;). You don’t have to say sorry but that gesture does credit to you. Maybe I’ve been too much ironic, I’m sorry too.

Yes you’ve got it: a huge, enormous, and incredible and laaarge language barrier. I just studied English for two years and a half but...twelve years ago (approximately) so I know most of the time I express myself just like if a were a little kid...;) jejeje try to express yourself in Spanish one day and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Spanish is very difficult to talk. grrr!! ;)

Regarding the bad guy I love the head rainman showed us...but the character that nobody did and is the last one we need is The Indio rolled by Gian María Volonté. I think rainman would make a great custom for this character. And if he couldn’t make the best work for me would be just fine because it will be the unique one ;)

Ok Entropy we are still friends??
;)
