DUDE POST MOAR PICS!

I totally welcome a lot of the ideas being posted here, however I'd just like to remind everyone that we (Lord Vicious & I) originally got this thread going for people interested in Western figures, specifically "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" characters. So before this thread strays too far from its original purpose, maybe someone should start a new thread for all of these other suggestions.

While Rainman has come through for some people who wanted complete figures or costume sets for building our own figures, the numbers available have been extremely limited, and costs prohibitive for others.

Since there are probably people who are still interested in having these figures, but were unable to obtain any of Rainman's offerings, I think we should keep this thread open for other options and alternatives for GBU figures.

I decided to repost the original interest list, so if you'd like to post what you've already gotten so far, I can update the "wants" list. Then we can see who's still in need of complete GB&U figures and/or costumes. Thanks, guys! :D

I didn't get a chance to pick up "The Bad" figure, but if anyone wants to sell theirs, I'm game. I picked up Rainman's General Mortimer though, and am willing to make a trade.

Well I've got a Rainman Blondie and both versions of Van Cleef. I've got my Billy shirt - I'd be up for a vest and poncho if they were still made as that would complete a second Blondie for me.

you have mortimer?! well i have the bad on the way i might be able to oblige you cause I liked the mortimer character in the movies anyways. can you take some pics of your set?

btw i missed out on blondie so I'm down for a full set of clothes for blondie.

Looks like you may be in luck! (Unfortunately, I also missed out on "The Bad". Guess I'll have to keep looking). :monkey2

Btw, did you also get one of his "Man With No Name" figures? If so, please LMK and I'll update the list.

hey mudshark is billyb still making shirts? if he is put my name on the list for 2.

also i was wondering if you guys found a person to do the black levis jeans clint wears in the movies if not i want to see if kato.e would be interested. he said he charge a high rate.... but i was thinking if we can get a bulk order maybe we can get a deal. anyways i provided a link to his thread to let you guys see a sample of his work.

Haven't heard from BillyB since late last year, but then I've been pretty much incommunicado without my computer until very recently.

You might try sending him a PM and see if he gets back to you. If he does, then chances are he'd be able to make up a Blondie shirt to fit the figure body you're planning to use. I'll go ahead and add your name to the list anyway.

A few more shots of Angel Eyes and Blondie

There is a tiny bit of paint rub on the rifle - It seems Rainman used some paints that rub easily - the rub is from him holding the gun in his hand. When it is in his hand, you cannot see any of the rub.

These figures look great, especially the tailoring. There is one thing that I think would really add to the Van Cleef characterizations, and that is his right middle finger is without a tip. You can see it clearly in the final showdown in GB&U as Angel Eyes is reaching for his gun.

Thanks for sharing those amazing pics of Col. Mortimer, Neehar! Now I can really see what a great job Rainman did on him. If I had one of those, I'm not sure I'd be willing to part with him for any reason!

how do we know if theres a new offering from rainman? I want to get the gbu set #2(without the cert and free item) for each one.

PJ, Rainman's Art Works are offered through Zuno's E-ureka Shop, which has also carried offerings from other well-known and highly regarded Korean artists. Rainman's works are usually numbered, limited editions. The only open editions from GBU are the painted and unpainted heads from the most recent figure, and the site says they are out of stock. The limited editions are all sold out. When it's ready, "The Ugly" will be offered through the site, and the date and time for orders will be posted there in advance. Thus far, Rainman has offered complete figures first, and assembly kits without the body some time after.

Thanks! Well, it's a straight up trade for Angel Eyes, so in the end we both win.

I love that figure! Great pics!!

It IS a great figure, thanks!

Thanks for the pics Reinhardt.
Nice detail shots.
Did you get the limited figure set with the special item?

Sure thing! No, got the regular edition - the limited was just too rich for my blodd.

Can anyone tell me how they've attached the headsculpt to a HT narrow shoulder neck stem? I'm having the most difficult time I've had to attach a headsculpt. The the neck on the sculpt is soooo hollow there is nothing to grasp on the HT neck stem. I'm thinking either the stem needs som sort of height or girth or the neck on the sculpt needs some sort of filler

Jim

Hi Jim,

Here you go.
Rainman recommends putting them with super glue like below.
