tuco does look great, but i agree with EC that his clothes could do with a bit of dirtying up. you could work the tear in using a second layer of lining on the inside and some clever stitching.

Good idea. If Rainman is adding sweat to Tuco where he didn't in the previous Gunmen (and it's appropriate with Tuco), I don't see why he couldn't have a damaged shoulder seam on the jacket for this release, especially when it's like that the entire time in the movie.

I´m with you.
;)

Well, Tuco is a different character than Angel Eyes and Blondie. Angel Eyes and Blondie didn't wear torn or damaged costumes in the film. Tuco's clothes should, and in the film they do, reflect that he's 'The Ugly'. And it's not battle damage - his clothes were like that when he changed into them. His jackets are both beaten up and ugly, like him.

I'm totally with you on the SA of the wear on Tuco's clothes. It's all too obviously part of his look in the film. And the exclusion of the outer coat would be a significant detraction from the overall figure, imho.

Btw, during the battle scene where he and Tuco blow the bridge, that old duster Blondie was wearing was pretty ratty-looking too. You can see that the back flap was all torn up. They were both pretty filthy from that point on, but Tuco was by far the worst for wear!

I know all you guys who have complete figures undoubtedly shudder at the thought of weathering them (I'd feel the same way), but if you look closely at Blondie in the close-ups during the final showdown, he's anything but pristine! Angel Eyes was the only one who still looked relatively clean and fresh, like he just rode in on a stagecoach or something!

I don´t know if I´m alone thinking this but, I think this last figure is a good representation but I think it needs those details: outer coat and hat. If you want represent the final duel, do not put on the figure, but I think you must have the chance to have those items. Coronel Mortimer doesn’t uses his coat during the entire movie, but Rainman added to the figure and you can choose how you will pose your figure.

I know while a beautiful figure, Tuco does not come with a lot of items: shirt, jacket, belt, pants, boots and gun are not many considering how many items the previous Gunmen had.

But Tuco has an outer coat, and has a hat too, so if the character doesn’t come with many items and this figure comes with two less...Well, I have to think about that.

If the price is less than the previous figures I will buy one for sure but if it don’t...well I need to reconsider it because I don’t know now if I’m going to pay 350/380 USD for this last item, considering I’m able to get those clothes by myself.

that´s just an opinion considering I love the bad and the mortimer figure I bought. Really a treasure for my collection.
;)

I could go for an additional cloth hat, but that sculpt is so gorgeous already, I would not really want it meddled with!

This is easily my fave of the three, and yet the one I thought I would have no interest in.

I'm fine with them not being dirty or dusty or weathered.

But a big, purposeful rip in a jacket shoulder seam is a part of the costume design and it should be replicated in the tailoring of the figure.

Yes for me two, I’m very interested in the outer coat.

As well I would like to know how it will be released the one we saw in the pictures, I mean, will it be released as it were new, or will it be released with the open seamed shoulder as its showed in the movie?
:google

Same here, but the coat issue is the one that concerns me the most at the moment.

To those who want the hat: are you suggesting the addition of a cloth hat or a sculpt change?

Between hat and no hat, I'm glad Rainman went with no hat. I like that look better for Tuco. Ideally, there would have been hat/and hatless heads of the other gunmen but I can see not wanting to swap heads.

As badly as I've wanted Tuco in my collection, I'm still on the fence as to whether I'll be going for a complete figure or not. Funds are a little tight at the moment, so I may have to settle for one of the clothing sets. Guess it'll all depend on what the final figure looks like and what the bonus feature/s are.

If I do manage to get a full figure set, then I'll probably be living on instant ramen for the next few months...

maybe rainman should give the buyer the option of choosing ragged up clothes or not. i mean we generally preorder these figures anyways so during production he can note who wants a pristine costume or a tattered one.

i really dont care for the hat if its that important to some of you guys I hope he comes with one as a accessory.

as for hatless and hat on sculpts perphaps rainman can offer the varients in the future as a set of 3 or loose. i mean all you got to do is buy an extra neck connector and you can switch on and off whenever you like

Offering options sounds like a good idea, but I don't think Rainman operates that way. I expect it's going to be a "take it or leave it" kind of thing, but I'll have no problem with opening the seam on Tuco's jacket if it doesn't already come that way. :D

rainman does these western figures so well i dont want him to stop.

anyone else here want a Henry Fonda "Frank" or a Charles Bronson "Harmonica"?

I'll even take Juan and John from Fistful of Dynamyte.

Good news about the damaged shoulder. I agree with the majority of the posters that a little more ragged for Tuco is a big part of his character, even if Blondie and Angel Eyes were cleaner than they appeared in the film.

Also gotta back everyone up here IMO for 380 Rainman should really include the coat. It's an obvious omission even if it is based off of the last scene. For the exclusive item. a nice addition would be a cloth or plastic hat that straps around his neck, even if it can not fit on his head I think this would be a great addition.

Love the damn figure just want to see the outer coat on all versions please :)
