Anybody else think this movie is gonna have the meat and potatoes? I liked the first one, but was a tad let down.(still give it a 7.5/10) The beginning was long and i didn't mind it like some, but now we won't have that. So hope we can get some non stop ME goodness.

Also will the awesome Hobbit theme be back or something new?

I don't know. That's a good question and something I'm gonna have to check out.

Its gonna get more serious and "closer" in tone of LOTR starting here as we enter Mirkwood and Laketown. I think you're gonna get plenty of meat and potatoes but you're gonna get as much I'd imagine in film three. The first one was awesome (easy 9/10) and captured the right amount of easy going nature of the book with the proper seriousness of the added material.

I expect you'll get plenty of the Misty Mountains theme with tons of new stuff according to what PJ had on FB a while back.

If the previous movies are anything to go by, the Misty Mountain theme will definitely be back but it won't be the prominant music theme of the movie.

Sort of like how FOTR had the Fellowship theme, then TTT had the Rohan theme and then ROTK the Gondor/White Tree theme.

IMHO This film will be number 2 box office for this year I think being only the second 2013 film to reach 1 billion $

Just got The Hobbit on Blue-ray.... hoppfully it will be a better experience the second time around. I really really want to like these flicks!
