Good thing too. There would have been a lot of competition in the summer. It will thrive in December as always.
I don't know. I admit I was curious to see how this type of film would do in the Summer. I mean a film based on the world of Middle-earth. We know it can do well in the winter with every film in the series doing at least 870 million at the BO. I'm glad it moved but I'd have love to see what these films could do in the summer.
I figure the book is practically 100 years old, if you haven't read the tiny thing by now, you deserve to be spoiled.
I always thought it was in December, never knew it was originally planned for May. So this changes nothing for me.
