200 - 300 people locked in close quarters for 24 hrs are not going to smell great. Jesus, they don't have to **** themselves. :lol

I've actually done this a couple times (well not 24 hours but a long time all the same) and never once has the theater had any kind of an odor. Some of what you all are acting like they would have to **** themselves.

I never have either. :dunno

That's because you were in there the whole time and didnt notice the funk getting err... Funkier.

It's like the frog in the pot of water that doesnt notice he's being boiled alive because the temperature is being raised very slowly.

The more people the worse it will be as bodies create heat and the heat builds up making people perspire. Trust me, if you went in that theater towards the end of the marathon viewing, you'd be overwhelmed by the stench.

EDIT- As a teenager I worked in a movie theater, and when there was a packed house, the theater would smell after one showing.

I've been to comic-con and know what a bunch of bodies smells like especially if some lack hygiene skills. I've never smelt that in a theater so please don't be offended if I trust my judgement over yours.

Not offended, just know there is a big difference to a big open space like comic-con versus a theater where everyone is sitting elbow to elbow for an extended period of time.

You've never been to comic-con I see. :lol If only it was a big open space and you weren't elbow to elbow with people all day.

Never been, and I have no doubt there are some extremely crowded places, but I think the point I was trying to make is lost somehow, as I was saying you, the attendee would not notice the smell, but anyone who entered in very late into the showing would, like the people who clean up afterwards.

Trust me, like I said, many years ago I had that thankless job in a movie theater, and you would almost lose your lunch upon entering the theater after a packed showing.

Edit- Considering so many fans at Comic-con are probably dressed up in latex and Stormtrooper armor, I am sure Comic-con has it's own Tsunami of odor associated with it.

Wouldn't this just ENHANCE the experience???
do you think there was deodorant in Middle Earth? wouldn't having these smells make it more real!!!!

I'm sure the smell wouldn't be fresh but I am quite certain it wouldn't be god awful either. That's my point. Now, I'm moving on because this discussion seems pretty dumb to having in the first place. :lol

AMC is taking its sweet time getting the double feature tickets up for sale. I think Dad and I are going to do the IMAX 3D 48 FPS.

Cineplex doesn't have the HFR or IMAX tickets up yet. They have the UltraAVX up but I don't want to go to just a regular 3D showing. :lol

The AMC I prefer to go to isn't offering IMAX HFR double feature so its just the regular 3D Double Feature. I plan to then go see the regular 2D that Saturday and then the HFR 3D the following weekend.
