Yeah, he survives the desolation of himself and becomes the main antagonist of the third film.

Smug teams up with ****oo and they fight the evil Kunchunga with their ugtunga swords. Riff Raff, and TeeTee also fight as well, with Dorlin Brokingworker during the battle on top of the Sugungutki Mountain of Chitariga.

Nah, it's going to be a Quadrilogy with the third film subtitled "The Isolation of Smaug" when they decide that the only way to defeat the dragon is to make him feel ignored. A birthday party is held at Laketown and Smaug is not invited. Smaug gets so stressed out and paranoid, he sheds a scale. The rest is history. Revised story film history.

The thrush actually talks to Gandalf and Gandalf tells Legolas, who quickly gives the Bard archery lessons in an awesome 2880s style (Third Age) montage, so that the prophecy would be fulfilled that one day this film would end in a string of highly unlikely, drawn out CGI sequences that shall make overgrown Fourth Age nerds squee with joy.

Can't wait to see it! :yess:

Still cant believe we have to probrably wait for Man of Steel to come out to see the trailer for DoS

"Thanks to everyone who tuned into our Live Event last week. I've never done anything like that before, and I was pretty nervous. Hope it was ok.

If you saw it, it was a pretty accurate picture of what life is like at the moment. Jabez and I sit in that editing room all day, every day, editing the second Hobbit movie, and we actually start on the third next week! A lot of that movie was shot nearly a year ago, so I'm looking forward to seeing it come alive, shot by shot in the cutting room. It's like assembling one of those complex 2000 piece jigsaw puzzles.

For us, this is really the being of 2013, so I look forward to posting a bunch more stuff as we work through the year.

I think that an edited version of the Live Event is being made available over at the official Hobbit site, and Warner Bros have kindly let me post a 6 min excerpt here, to give everyone who missed it a sense of what it was like.

Cheers,
Peter J"

The still frame of what he's holding looks like a painting of Joker's face. :lol

The event was pretty cool. It wasn't anything revealing per say other than some cool glimpses of Mirkwood, Thranduil, Legolas, and Tauriel. If people were hoping to see Smaug I'd say that was a pipe dream at best.

Just been reading TORN and apparantly there's a Star Wars 7 'script' that falls off his table and a Silmarillion 'script' that's on a shelf hidden away in there just for a laugh :lol

Tauriel looks a lot like Tyler Arwen. @_@
Even the outfit looks similar in some of the glimpses.

Shes Hotter than Arwen any day!...reminds me of the Elf chick that Bilbo saves in the video game that came out 10 years ago...I loved that game

How about Disney buying the rights to all things Middle-earth?
