COOL figure. Seem HT invent new body again? The torso look pretty neat, using method like Machiko body may be?

Just makes one realise how cool it would be if HT gave us some Jedi!

Ya know I usually disagree with statements about "what if HT made Star Wars"... but really seeing this figure does kind of slam it home; that yes, I would pay an extra $50 or so bucks for a HT SW figure.

I've finally accepted it :monkey2

The Will Turner figure had a fixed neck... so could be that body, or a variant of the slim with a fixed neck.

Which is perplexing why HT have not get the Star Wars liscence.
Is it the money Lucas is asking? Sure HT can afford it.

I think in this case it has more to do with business relationships. Sideshow has the license in the US for the forseeable future and Medicom holds an Asian 1/6th license but to what extent and geography I don't know. Just Japan? Japan and the rest of Asia? Sideshow and Hot Toys have an extremely good relationship right now and I don't see them infringing on that. We'll probably get more cooperative projects like the armor and Hobbit bodies. Cross your fingers for a Hot Toys developed Chewbacca. In addition Sideshow scores licenses so that they can distribute the kick-ass figures from Hot Toys in addition to their own dioramas and statues.

Don't get me wrong, lord knows I think they would knock the whole line out of the park.

I really don't know much about the movie at all and I doubt I'll ever get a chance to see it, but DAMN that figure looks good! I'm tempted to buy it without even knowing the character.

We've all been in that boat, but then came to the realization that HT is great at what they do.:D And what they do is just make great figures period.

Here is the thing. When Star Wars figures were $60 bucks it seemed outlandish to pay HT prices for them. Now that Star Wars figures are averaging $115 its only a matter of time before they head even higher towards HT's prices....ironically HT's prices have been $150 for a while and they are keeping that pricepoint pretty stable so if it continues I think you'll hear more SW collectors wanting HT to take it over....although I don't think that'll happen unless SSC openly just gives it up.

Hot Toy's got me into this hobby, so I've always been used to the $150 pricepoint and would gladly pay it for their Star Wars figures. However I would not pay $150 for Sideshow Star Wars figures UNLESS they were of the quality that Hot Toy's offers for the same price point. Sideshow has improved a lot just over the last few years, so sooner or later I think that they can achieve Hot Toy's quality and when they do the HT SW wish will be pointless. :D

Mark my words, Sideshow will never reach Hot Toys quality unless Hot Toys buys Sideshow out right. I love SSC but have to be honest.

This is such an awsome looking figure. Is anybody as glad as me that Hot Toys Has started to release more figures with fist hands?

I ask again if anyone happens to know if Sideshow will import these or should I just pre-order somewhere else?
