Yeah, this was a quick 2.5 hours for sure.

It's one I will consider seeing again for sure. Like you said everything about it was excellent. It was like lotr for me in that it stayed rally faithful to the book with changes for the theater that worked. A great time was had for sure.

Agreed. The changes worked for the movie. :D

Afterwards at dinner all we talked about was the movie. I love when a movie makes people do that. :yess:

Yeah, this is one that sticks with you after leaving.

Being 14 chapters into book two I cussed out president snow everytime he was on screen knowing what's coming so far in book 2.

I am intrigued to see where this goes now I must say. I didn't get a trilogy vibe from it once it had ended.

Same here! :lol

I did,

especially after President Snow finished watching the District 12 celebration and turned his back to the camera.

Bring on the next two movies! :yess:

saw the movie last nite and it was awsome.
katniss is a great character. the movie had me on the edge of my seat at times. me and the wife enjoyed it.

the one thing I thought it was hard to buy was the holograms able to hurt you (fire balls, dogs) but it's set in the future so.

man I would love to have a holographic arena like that.
the possibilities are endless.

8/10 for me.

cant wait for the next movie.

ohh yea and people saying this is like twilight they are on crack.

I will buy it on blu ray.

Still need to go see this movie, but the crowds are insane!!! I'll wait for now.

That's what I'm trying to avoid, well the crowds mostly and noisy people. Can't enjoy a movie. :| LOL

But I'm really excited!!!

movie sucked, the first half was boring as hell, the second half does pick up once the actual game started, but there is no twist and showed very little human emotion conflicts in those situations, all the characters are flat & linear. It was so watered down, almost close to a disney movie. I guess if you are a 15 yearold, might find it interesting.

If you want the real thing, watch Battle Royale.

Any of you guys seen the Japanese movie Battle Royale which Hunger Games ripped off them? Its way better and more graphic then Hunger Games.

it's not just more graphical, it showed the realism & human emotion conflicts, also all the alliances formed & broken. Hunger Games had none of that, everyone is flat, you are either good or bad, and the alliance they had was a joke - a bunch of guys going around singing & be merry, nevermind the backdrop is they all have to kill each other at the end...

It still sounds like the Running man to me...I will see this on Sunday

Not to sound like a jerk but just about every movie has been stolen from something in the past, it doesn't mean it can't be as entertaining or as good as the original. I think everyone can take them both as separate movies and enjoy or hate them accordingly.
