Khev you beat me to it with your post but look at the shadows and the light in these two photos. There is a lot more direct light on the top of the head and that will change the color in the photo on the left. You can clearly see blonde highlights in the beard but not as evident in the photo on the right as in the photo of the left. I think the lighting is a major reason for the color change.
