Having a monitor tablet has made a huge difference to my ability to do linework digitally. Been doing studies of Tetsuo Hara panels to see just how far it can be pushed.

Still getting used to it, but early results are promising.

Thanks

If you're in any way serious about art I'd recommend it. This is only the 13" version, too.

I've been watching Smallville again and can't believe how much I'm enjoying it. :lol It's formulaic and has CW teen soap opera moments every episode, but I'd forgotten how much of the core aspects of Superman they got right on the show. Plus, it's funny seeing all the people that were on it like Amy Adams as a body fat sucking vampire and Joe Morton as Emil Hamilton.

My girl was really into it when it was still on. I watched some episodes but didn't stick with it. But from what I did see and when she's had it on, it seems like a really fleshed out story.

I fast-forward through some of the teenage drama but overall they did a great job with the show, especially in the beginning. Some of the later seasons got really weird and involved a lot of stuff with Kryptonian relics that could have been cool but wasn't. They went deep into Superman history though with Brainiac, Zod, and Doomsday--plus a ton of other characters including the Teenage Heartthrob Sexy Time Justice League. Considering how long ago the show was on and that they had to go with the "guy in a suit" Doomsday--the show still did a better job with him than BvS.

it looked better on the show

It still amazes me that Snyder wanting comic characters to be close in his movies to the source like he did with Batman's final suit and he drops the ball that much with doomsday

I remember really loving Smallville when it premiered back in 2002, but as I went trough high school, a diploma and degree I didn't realized that the show was still ongoing. I think I never watched past season 3.

The best things I could recall were Christopher Reeve playing Dr. Swan ad that Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) and John Glover were actually the Flash and the Riddler in the DCAU, and Rosenbaum even got to reprise Lex when he switched minds with Luthor in JLU. :rotfl

Looks somewhat silly, but still better than the Shrek Abomination Turtle love child.

The suit looks goofy but was better on the show because it was always darkly lit. Still better than this piece of ****

I'm looking forward to some of the middle seasons when they really started getting guest appearances by past Superman-related actors--especially Christopher Reeve. I still remember getting chills when they showed Christopher Reeve on screen and played the Superman theme.

Smallville ran for 10 seasons so the show had a ton of people on it--both big names from the past and people that would end up being famous later. I still call John Glover "Lionel Luthor" when I see him on other shows/movies even though he's been in a ton of other things. :lol

You really aren't missing much. We got the extended, supposedly better that sliced bread version that some claim it is, and man, is it hard to watch. It is LONG, and really, doesn't add anything else to the mess that it originally was.

Worst use of a free Redbox code ever. Since it was BD, I had to pay $0.47 out of pocket.

Yeah, lots of dudes around here rate the extended version high... but I saw all the major plot points on Youtube and I can't imagine more of that nonsense making it anymore palatable.

Maybe, maybe I'll try it this weekend and just watch it in small doses. Like Arsenic, maybe I won't die from watching that long bloated mess in one sitting.

I finished the Extended Cut few months back. It's a teeeeny bit better, but you'll have to suffer nearly 3 hours of nonsense that it's just not worth it.

At the end of the day, I say it's the worst Batman or Superman movie ever. Say what you want, but at least Superman IV, Batman & Robin and Batman Forever were entertaining.
