Just received the Transformers The Movie exclusive steelbbok, will fire up the movie later. It seems that it's already starting to go up in price so if any of you fancy it, now is the time.

Fantastic! I ordered mine from Amazon. I have the 20th Anniversary DVD with a pretty nifty comic. I'll mostly likely give it away to someone for Christmas.

I've just finished the movie and I think I've gained new appreciation for it. The picture and audio is certainly the best the movie has ever looked and there are details that you've probably never seen like scratches on the characters and such. Overall, this movie beats all of the Bayformers films easily and they should really go back to a Transformers story without any humans, like Beast Wars did.

For me, the 1986 movie was better than anything else from the entire G1 series (I never got into it). I especially loved how the art-style and the music came together - Vince Dicola did some brilliant synth compositions.

In any case, it sounds like the BD upgrade was done pretty well. I can't wait to see it for myself.

I'm looking forward to seeing it in this format--plus it's been a few years since I've watched it. I gave up on the TF cartoons after Beast Wars because I didn't like how much they focused on the human friends. If they did another series like the original and BW then I'd be all over it.

I gave up watching TF after Beast Wars, for that exact reason.

Good stuff, RavenEye. This was Trevor's sculpt before Sideshow decided to totally ruin it during production.

*******, Bateman. That's killer! If you're looking for more fringe characters, Jonah Hex is pretty fringe...and awesome looking...and one of my favorites.:monkey3 :lol

Man, Jonah Hex. Guess I'll be adding him and the Haunted Tank to the list :D

That's amazing work. I like that you're only sticking with only a two color scheme. Minimalist can be a lot better.

Thanks, I'm a big fan of minimalist. I honestly think something went horribly wrong with the way comics are coloured in the last 5-10 years, I've got stuff from the late 80's/early 90's (American and European) that's lightyears ahead of anything I see nowadays. I guess they'll just let anyone with Photoshop colour pages nowadays :lol

I need some prints, Bateman :rock

I can send you a full-resolution TIFF file in CMYK if you want to sort that out yourself :)

:rock :rock That looks great!

There have been a lot of different representations of Zod in the comics so you've several to choose from.

I do like the one with the orange goggles. It'll be him or classic when I get round to it.

There's also the Rebirth version to choose from

Hmm. The ******* love child of Stamp and Shannon's incarnations?

45 day trial is up for zbrush dude, it's what I'm using. :lol

I may give it a try if there's a free trial. I hate to spend the money on it if I try it a couple times and realize I don't have a knack for it.

That reminds me - I have a cr... I mean fairly and legally obtained copy of Zbrush I've never actually got round to installing. It's a very expensive piece of software, I wouldn't recommend buying it without getting some mileage in first. It's also legendarily user-unfriendly despite being the industry standard.

Take a look at blender if u want a freebie. Pretty amazing program for virtual modeling and sculpting for free. Lots of tutorials too on YouTube to learn.
