I've been waiting to see Doomsday on the big screen since the Death of Superman story and was unbelievably disappointed with both his look and how they used him in BvS. Such a waste to cram a ****** version of him into an already overstuffed film.

I've been impressed with pretty much everything Prime has done with their DC pieces so hopefully they'll nail Doomsday too.

Yea, it really was a waste, and just an awful way to do the character. I hate the fact that he was Lex's little Frankenstein monster. His original origin where he's hundreds of thousands years old, and has been to many planets causing all sorts of death, and mayhem is way more interesting. It's a cool history that would have been awesome to see flashbacks to.

I forgot to post that I received my 14-day notice for the HT Deadpool. Supposed to ship 11/22.

Good to know. I'll get mine from BBTS sometime in December I suppose.

Good deal!
Still waiting to hear about mine. I picked up from pop-culture when they had that sale going on for $175 shipped... Hell of a deal!

If the movie had broken the billion dollar mark I bet they would have. I can't see them making it now. I wouldn't buy it anyway unless there were a way to mod it to actually look like Doomsday. :lol

Funny thing is that I actually though, generic as he looked, it was a pretty good base. It's almost like they got 80% of the way there in the design process, then came overlaying the bone spikes, and they were just like "**** it. Close enough." The protrusions around his jaw would've eliminated the weird, troll shaped head, similarly, the bones on his brow ridge and nose would've camouflaged that weird hammer head thing he had going and it wouldn't have looked anywhere near as weird. Question, though: if he had looked like comic Doomsday, would you have been cool with the energy blasts and Zod backstory?

The only thing making movie Doomsday look more like the comic Doomsday would have really done for me is make it easier to buy a toy or statue of him from the film. It's unfortunate that they wasted the character in BvS because I won't see him on the big screen again in my lifetime. Even if he looked more like comic Doomsday, I would have been disappointed with them cramming him into the film. He looked awful, but my biggest complaint is still that they reduced the Death of Superman storyline to a 20 minute plot device for Batman and the world to finally see Superman as a hero. Then they couldn't even let the fact that Superman died really sink in because they had to immediately hint at his return. I get that they had to make Doomsday fit into their new film universe, so they went the easy way and used Zod's body to create him. However, they could have done quite a bit more with his backstory and showed how much he was a threat if they'd had him in a separate movie mowing down heroes left and right until Superman finally stopped him because he was the only being on the planet that could. In BvS, Wonder Woman cut off Doomsday's arm, so they made it appear that anyone with access to the kryptonite spear would have been able to kill him.

"Martha" was the BvS equivalent of MoS's suicide by tornado.

Pretty apt comparison holy **** :lol

Saw Watchmen earlier. Tire tread on burst stomach.

Early Zack Snyder films didn't have problems with having an easily-pinpointable moment where they go full ******. What went wrong post-MoS?

Snyder does much better when he's adapting a story like 300 and Watchmen. I think DC just has a poor plan for their film universe and poor management of both their brand and the people bringing that brand to the big screen.

Have fun. Gonna gamble?

I lived there for about 5 years and hated it, but I like going back for a couple days once a year. My wife is staying home so I'm going by myself and can't wait! Going to gamble a bit, eat some good food, and sleep when I want (or don't).

I love Casino. I worked at Caesars, and the guy that Ginger is ripping off at the craps table works at (maybe owns?) one of the shops in the Forum. He looks exactly like he did in the film with the big glasses, jewelry, and flashy ties. :lol I've talked to him a couple times, but it's been so long I can't remember his name.

:lol that's awesome.

Ginger was such a piece of ****, but crazily hot... until she got that Lesbian haircut the second half of the film.

I want every suit Deniro had in that film.
