This reminds me. Does anyone remember Virgil from WWF/WCW?

Hasn't been updated in three years, but it's a nice collection of Virgil in different shirts with completely clean, unwalked floors in front of his tables. :lol

He even put up a sign in a NYC subway station.

From what I've heard, the actors get paid a fee to appear--between $5,000 and $250,000 depending on the type of celebrity. The celebrities set an autograph fee and a photo op fee, then the convention organizers get $5 per autograph fee and $10 per photo op fee.

Here's an example that will make you sick. Norman Reedus supposedly gets $200,000 to appear at a convention. He charges $80 per autograph and $100 per photo op. If he signs 500 autographs in a weekend (I'm sure that's on the low side) then that's $40,000. Minus the convention fee, he gets $37,500. Say he takes 500 photographs at the same convention for $100 a piece, minus the fee he'll end up with $45,000. So for one weekend he gets $282,500--and I'm betting that's a slow weekend for him. I bet Dallas Comic Con will be a $500,000 weekend for Hamill.

That's sickening...

It's insane. Even if I had to deal with annoying fans all day, I'd work a couple conventions a month if I were a celebrity.

yeah forreal... i mean honestly do it 4 times a year and you got a cool million in the bank! jesus that is disgusting. we'll work our ***** off all our lives and hardly come close to what these guys do for signing some pics a few times a year!

oiiyyyyyyy now i need a drink!

That's why I'm going to get Adam West's too.

Adam West and Burt Ward were near me twice last year. First time I was flat broke. Second time, I got food poisoning. They'll be in Pittsburgh next month and I'm ecstatic. Making sure I have enough for both Hot Toys figures and a Photo Op.

They announced this will be there last appearance in Dallas so I need to get them this year. I thought about getting my HT boxes signed but decided to just get an autographed pic. I would do more photo ops, but I don't like that they just rush you through so fast. When I did it for Stan Lee, William Shatner, and Nathan Fillion I think I got about 4 seconds with each one. The only reason I even heard them speak was because I started talking to them as soon as I saw them. Got a quick response from each and got shoved out of the way for the next person.

I get why they do it but it's just annoying how quickly you get shoved out of the photo op line. Only ones that actually spent a few extra seconds talking was Sean Astin and the Winter Soldier

It's just a shame there's no GRAY GHOST FIGURE FOR ME TO GET SIGNED, DC COLLECTIBLES!

Which kind of makes me want to get him to sign my TAS complete series, as I'd like to have a whole bunch of people from the show sign it, but I'm betting it's probably one item per person, and I'm committed to making those boxes happen.:lol

It depends on the convention and celebrity, but for someone like Adam West, I think he'll sign however many things you want. Prepare yourself though--he charges $80 a pop. :horror

Oh, I'm aware of the prices, but this is the last chance I've got and I intend to make the best of it. I want the HT boxes and I might bring my copy of Batman '66 #1.
