Today is my wedding anniversary. I wish I could say I was doing something special for it, but instead I'm at work. Lots of big plans later though--maybe some take-out for dinner and watching something on the DVR. There are probably a few reasons why she's stayed with me but

oh man that's awesome!

It's our 6-year wedding anniversary, but we've been together for something like 19 years. :lol We're going to Dallas next weekend for the comic book convention so we'll do something nice then. Our options here are limited because all of our local restaurants are ****.

It's hard to find a good one. We found a nice Italian one near us and we've had good experiences there, but the last time wasn't great... and that was for our Wedding :lol

We have more pizza places and mexican restaurants here than anything else. We have one steak place that pissed me off so I don't go back there, and the nearest other one is about 40 minutes away. One Italian place that is hit or miss--though I'm so picky about Italian food that it's rare to find a good one anywhere in the state. Other than that, it's fast-food. My favorite part about going out of town is getting to eat nice meals. :lol

There was another Italian place we used to love, until we went there the last time and they brought out plates out within two minutes... which meant it's been sitting in a pot of water for HOURS. The plate was mostly water. And our waitress was ****y.

I grew up eating homemade authentic Italian food so I'm a complete ******* when it comes to Italian restaurants. If we go to one that we've never been to before, I order spaghetti and meatballs because I figure if they **** that up then everything else will be ****. :lol

Yeah same here. It cannot get any simpler than that. Usually the hole in the wall places that aren't known too well, usually have the best food.

Ever tried any of the Italian restaurants in Krebs, OK? I use to eat at Pete's Place and Isle of Capri. Both were/are pretty good. On the way to Dallas too

I've only been through Krebs a couple times. I can't remember the names of the restaurants but both were pretty good. I like the little deli place there. I'd like to go back when they have their Italian festival. When we lived in Vegas, we went to the San Gennaro feast every year so I could gorge myself on all the different Italian food the vendors brought.

my old lady loves italian food... we're lucky around O' town there are quite a few mom and pop places that do it up right. always easy to get your fix.

Moving to this side of Texas the food sucks or is a hit or miss kinda thing. Chinese sucks... Thai food sucks... one decent Greek place.

I always wonder how those restaurants actually end up doing after the renovation. Seems like they'd get a lot of business just from people coming in to see the new place. Though if the people that were running it into the ground in the first place don't change anything else, then it seems like it would just go back to being ****.

A Chinese place that was down the street from where I lived since I was a kid got shut down by the city for health code violations. Since I work for the court I read the complaint... I really regret ever eating from there.

Pretty scary how many restaurants out there are utterly disgusting. Kitchen Nightmares made me scared to ever eat out :lol

yeah it's fd up how bad things really are in most places! dunno wtf is up w/ a lot of the chinese joints, but dam they seem to be the worst! buddy of mine and i were doing some work for flooring... it was on a split plan building w/ half of the place was an office strip, the other a chinese joint. we had to go into both to figure out some leaks... and i was in shock at the raw room temp chicken in giant buckets just sitting on the floor for hours, shrimp just laying out all over the counter turning that "room temperature white" and such... all the while the place is dirty as hell! mmmmmmm delish! :yuck

There's two words that stuck out to me in the code violation for my place.

"Roach feces."
