This is one of my favorite moments in Superman The Movie because it was so jarring to see Superman going through these emotions, but it worked because Reeve portrayed Superman as positive and hopeful until that moment.

Superman in BvS doesn't have any good emotions to balance out the bad ones. He's just alternates between moping and anger.

Couldn't agree more. I think it might be the best portrayal of pure fury in any CBM movie ever.

Yeah, Richard Pryor must have needed the paycheck for coke. It has some awful, goofy moments in it, but the good ones make it worth watching at least once. Superman IV makes Superman III look like Godfather quality cinema. Watch it if you must, but even seeing Reeve as Superman one more time can't save it from being ****. :lol

Yeah, what an obtuse choice to stick in a Supe film... any type of comic would be weird. But he was big at the time so...

Amy Schumer for MOS2 :rock

I saw one of the coolest things I've seen in a while the other day. I didn't take a picture but it was an original 1939 Supermen of America fan club set. It had a patch, pin, and papers documenting membership. They wanted like $800 for the whole set. It was apparently a mail-in rebate from the original superman comics.

I now want a set to save and preserve for eternity lol

That'd be totally worth it :lol

It was just like these (per google images) but had a little patch that was with them.

I know I have one of those somewhere, but it's a replica set. I'd love to get an original unused set some day. I like looking for vintage stuff like that--just wish it all didn't cost so much. I did find a Superman automobile head ornament that I absolutely love. This isn't my pic, but this is the type I have.

I'd love to get a late 30's Mercury to put it on. :lol
