I absolutely love G1 but Beast Wars was more of a drama than a toy commercial. The cast are portrayed like human beings rather than generic stock robots, which really made the show feel more intimate and the stakes more real. Plus it's canon to G1, taking place after the events of G1 where the Transformers sacrificed their gargantuan stature in favor of almost human-sized bodies to conserve Energon. The later seasons tie in with G1 in dramatic ways with surprising cameos and overall it's just a show G1 fans owe it to themselves to check out, since it's just great writing.

So that's why they're smaller? I never knew that. Having a descendant of Prime was a neat idea too.

I miss the toys I had from it. I had probably 80% of the entire cast of all the seasons minus a few key players. I had some none show toys too that were cool.

Optimal Optimus was a mountain compared to the rest. I remember him being a one bot army in the show.

I probably need to watch Beast Wars again. I remember a fair chunk of it, but I know I've forgotten a lot of details since I haven't watched any shows since they originally aired. It was definitely a better show overall in terms of writing and character development than G1. I'm much more nostalgic for G1 though since the cartoon and toys were so popular when I was a kid. I was 11 when the animated Transformers movie was in theaters in 1986. :lol

I dont mind getting old and flabby. I just wish pain was not such a prevalent thing about it.

I'm waiting to hear back from my tattoo artist for an appointment to finish my upper arm. I also need to decide if I want to add anything else or go ahead and have him start on the other arm.

My wife picked up the disc for my MRI yesterday that I need to bring to the specialist. The report inside said "normal." No tears. I don't know if I should be happy or upset with that, since we don't know what it is. Although I'm thinking he was right with the original diagnosis possibly. I guess it won't need surgery. Although I'd prefer surgery since I'd know it would at least resolve in a month.

Any ideas on what you'd want?

I'm still fiddling with the idea of a tattoo... it's kinda hack and typical... but I want a Brand of Sacrifice on my neck :lol

My Wife wanted one on her **** too.

I want to do a villain sleeve for my left arm but haven't decided what I want for the whole thing. I'd know I want Zod on my bicep then Ursa on my forearm to match the Supergirl on my right forearm. Then I think I want the Phantom Zone flipping through space down the other side of my forearm. Other than those, I need to decide how to fill in the rest of the space.

The Brand of Sacrifice would be a great tattoo--you could have someone just do a simple black line symbol or find an artist that could make it actually look like a brand.

There are so many tattoos that I want but only so much skin. :lol I will say that the only tattoos I've gotten so far are ones that I've had on my mind for a long time. I figure if I keep coming back to that image over months or years then it is something worth putting on my skin.

Would you ever get the cover of the Death of Superman or Doomsday? I don't know if you'd want something showing Superman's death since I don't know if that would fit your theme.

One old friend of mines has gotten sleeves of horror movie icons and they turned out really good. There's quite a few really good shops in Philly.

Paul Acker is who I'd want to go to. I remember someone posted some of his Big Trouble tattoos he did.

I'd pay over a $100 or whatever it would be to get a small Brand on my neck and have it shaded to look three dimensional, and bleeding.

Those tattoos are really, really good. I'd love to get ones like that of Stamp as Zod and Reeve as Superman.

My new big idea is to do a huge back tattoo. So far, I want Superman in the center with tattoos of iconic Superman moments surrounding him like jagged comic book panels. I would want Superman vs Doomsday, Superman vs Lex Luthor, Kingdom Come Superman, etc. for sure.

Yeah Doomsday would be a must if you want a villain on there. I mentioned I'm not too familiar with him, but I already dug his design.

Here's more of that sleeve.

I remember seeing that sleeve online somewhere awhile back. That's absolutely unreal quality. I'd like to see how it aged because it looks like besides a little fading of color that it would be fine.

I'm getting the Warner Bros. Store Joker maquette today--hoped it'd be here before lunch but I don't think it's going to happen. Harley should be here tomorrow and the set I want will be complete. :rock

Man, I can't get in to see my tattoo guy until May 15th. Only problem with having someone that's good is that you can't get in whenever you want.
