I tried to get tickets to Funko Funday at SDCC again this year and failed, yet again. I think the sales are rigged. Last year they sold out in 2 minutes. This year, they popped the link on twitter, I clicked it immediately, put two tickets in my cart and hit checkout only to have the sold out notice pop up. It couldn't have been 5 seconds total. ****ing ********.

Funko is having a huge open house celebration at their new Headquarters in August. I will be there because I have a couple of friends who work there (they sculpted the new 3.75 60's Batman figures) and I will be trying to network so I too can get a job there (as long as the pay is reasonable, it is one of my dream jobs). They will be having exclusives, I can pick you up anything that you want. We can figure out the specifics as the time gets closer, but they will be having one of a kind exclusives at this thing.

I actually applied some time ago, and apparently was on their short list. That was until they put the job into a holding pattern. Hoping it will open up when they get to their new place.

Actually, the job was more on the marketing side. Like the illustrations on the boxes. Not as sexy as the design work, but I would figure that it could possibly lead there. Plus, I could probably get my hands on some hard to find Pops for my buds.

We've been lucky so far this year--mainly just some strong winds and a lot of rain. Nothing that's caused terrible damage yet.

It's been sticky humid lately. I don't like the heat, but I really hate humidity. Pisses me off when I walk outside to my car and I'm sweating before I get in it.
Hate that ****. At least with heat it's whatever, but with humidity it just makes every pour on your body sweat.

We still haven't hit over 90 yet, but the humidity is so high that I'm already miserable. Right now the humidity is 86% and the high is going to be 84° today. All I know from that is that I'm going to be dripping sweat into my *** crack if I spend any time outside.
Was 91 yesterday, 91 today and 90 tomorrow. Thankfully it breaks and were back into the 70s from then on.
