Meet our new Venom!

I'd rather see him as Wolverine.

I've been rewatching Deadwood and it truly is one of the greatest shows of all time. The writing is spectacular, and this might be one of my all time favorite exchanges in the history of television:

I'm still pissed about HBO cancelling Deadwood. They should have done one more season to wrap it up because I don't believe for a second that the movie will ever get made. Great characters, great writing, and nothing gets watered down for the audience. :rock

I'm watching Lego Batman tonight. Is it any good?

I enjoyed it more after a second viewing. It's a funny little movie with some good references, but you can tell near the end they started running out of Batman material.

It made for some nice Lego sets. :lol

After the second viewing? What's wrong with the first? :lol

Anyway, that's good to know. I'd love to see something DC that's refreshing for a change.

I enjoyed it the first time too; it's just that, without giving too much away, I didn't expect them to go full The LEGO Movie near the end. :lol

And totally. This and Return of the Caped Crusaders were definitely a breath of fresh air.

Okay, I just finished it and wow! I think I haven't been this thoroughly satisfied with anything Batman-related since 2009's Arkham Asylum game. And I eat everything Batman! :lol

This, alongside The Wire, The Shield and Breaking bad are the only shows I own physical copies of.

Better Call Saul is likely to be in that category IMO.

I actually envy those that haven't watched them. They are in for an amazing treat.

You're making me want to watch it again. :lol

Thanks for the rep btw!

I forgot to post this the other day. Tweeterhead apparently got the license for 1/6 DC comic maquettes. Of course, they're starting with ****ing Harley. Or maybe they're only doing Harley but a bunch of versions of her. Won't find out until Tuesday.

I'm burned out on the character. Harley and Deadpool have been plastered on everything for the last few years with no end in sight. It reminds me of how Marvel used to have several Wolverine comics every month plus put him on every team they could think of just to boost sales.

Get the **** out of my head!

I'm going to watch Logan this week. I never made it to the theater to see it.

I'll get the blu ray once it's out in few days. I don't think it's 97% Rotten Tomatoes good, and I have some major issues with it, but for what it was I really enjoyed it.

I don't have any expectations for it so I should at least enjoy it. :lol

You probably would. Like I said I have major gripes with it but there are 3 things I thought this film did really well compared to most superhero flicks, 1) the R rating supplements the story really well, it doesn't feel undeserved or shoehorned in (well, except the **** flashing scene!) 2) You feel as if the stakes are real this time, every fight and encounter feels like it could end disastrously, no more portal-in-the-sky alien invasion BS and 3) The film is really adamant on being a stand alone story- there's no post credits scene, no excessive fan service to past films. It truly feels like it's not setting up for anything or an advert for the next film and that's super refreshing.
