A smart way to watch movies. I was thoroughly entertained by it. I didn't get anxiety over any plot holes or nitpicks. Let us know what you think.

That's a good way to look at it. I was super impressed that the film was adamant on being it's own standalone thing. There isn't even one superhero flick in the last 15 years that didn't prostituted itself to the prospects of a sequel. :lol

You probably would. Like I said I have major gripes with it but there are 3 things I thought this film did really well compared to most superhero flicks, 1) the R rating supplements the story really well, it doesn't feel undeserved or shoehorned in (well, except the **** flashing scene!) 2) You feel as if the stakes are real this time, every fight and encounter feels like it could end disastrously, no more portal-in-the-sky alien invasion BS and 3) The film is really adamant on being a stand alone story- there's no post credits scene, no excessive fan service to past films. It truly feels like it's not setting up for anything or an advert for the next film and that's super refreshing.

It's got good points for sure. I just think the hype around it is vastly exaggerated. There's no clear villain in it, aside from the run time :lol

That's true. I always enjoy the issue of a monthly series that comes after the huge crossover event. Most of the time, those issues are more powerful than anything that happened over a 12 issue blockbuster story.

There's nothing wrong with big superhero events but I'm personally starting to get tired of it because everyone's doing it. I love the Batman comics where he stops the bad guy in just one issue and I don't like the prospect of Affleck's Batman because he's just a cog in getting the entire gang together, for something bigger, "grander". I'd like to see a Batman flick where all he faces are muggers & gangsters, but that's not gonna happen.

I remember a BTAS episode "It's never too late", where all Batman does is try to get a drug lord to give up his ways willingly. That's it. :lol

I finally received my Ursa commission from Ale Garza. :rock

It's been a year since I commissioned it. I thought I was going to pick it up at SDCC last year. :lol I'm actually glad he didn't have it done then because I think I would have just ended up with a quick sketch instead of a completely finished drawing. :rock

Sad to hear for him and his family, but it's not going to change the movie. The article I read said that Whedon is just doing reshoots and keeping Snyder's story and style intact.

I don't want to collect artwork because they're so expensive but to be honest, you make if difficult. That's beyond amazing.

I don't like Snyder as a director but I'm sorry for his lost, it's a terrible thing and I hope his family and him find the time to heal. I don't think this is newsworthy since Whedon isn't changing anything for the additional shots. If both men were given 100% full creative control of something, Whedon would be the superior artist all the way, not even a contest.

I wanted Nathan Fillion for the role so badly.

Since they got Holland to play Drake, they should get Keaton to play Sully. :lol
