Hey guys, I need all of your good lucks right now... I just got a call that I have an interview at Funko next Friday. It would be for designing the actual toys, so this is pretty much a dream job. I have to design a Pop for them, and learn as much of adobe Illustrator as I can before next Friday. With my full time job, and wife and kids, it is going to be a full week, but I'm confident that I can nail it. Whoo hoo!

I hate I got out of their Batman line, but I just don't have the room to stay on top of it. Although if 1/6 line comes out (fat chance) I'll definitely get into that.

After getting those WB maquettes, I really wish someone would make 1/6 scale animated figures. They look fantastic in that scale.

I didn't really like the Mondo Batman when I saw it in person. Maybe they'll improve on it a bit before they put it up for preorder. They're the only option at that scale though. My other problem with them is that I doubt they'll go very deep in the line.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. I mean it could be better, and the blacks of his cowl and cape should be darker... but I think it may do the job well enough. But as Zod said, they may not go deep. We'd probably only get a Batman and Joker at most.

Yeah those blues need really make it look like a variant or something. While ambitious to try and capture the animated cels of the show... it doesn't work in figure form. Maybe as a variant, but not as the flagship figure of the line.

I was on the fence about the Mondo Batman. I don't have as much of a problem with the highlights as some people do. Moreso the fact that's it's not mixed media, yet they'll try to charge HT prices for it. It does seem like it'd be a good thing to get signed, though. Now that I have my '66 Batman and Robin signed, I doubt I ever get to meet Nicholson or Keaton, but ****, Conroy and Hamill do Cons. It'd be kind of cool to get something for TAS that matches, to a degree.

I legitimately felt really sorry for you about the Leo figure. I know you were super-psyched for for him to come out..... only to find utter disappointment.

I wanted to buy him... but I waited for in hand pics. Not to pour salt in the wound, but I'm glad I did.

Yup! Those repaints we did on those battle shells blow the mondos out of the water for a fraction of the cost!

I probably won't get a chance to see WW for a couple weeks. It's nice to hear that it's not a train wreck. I just feel sorry for anyone that believes WW is the film that will turn the DCEU around. We all have still have to get through JL.

Things have been so crazy the last couple weeks that I've been slacking buying myself stuff. I usually get myself a present to open on my birthday since I tell my wife not to bother with a present, and I didn't do it this year. She did get me some Dunkin Donut Munchkins to have with my coffee this morning. Munchkins and a nap later is all I really need to celebrate today. You know you're getting old when one of your birthday presents is a nap.
