That's the highest I thought it'd be. It'd be nice if Sideshow offered it up. Even if they jacked up the price a little, the shipping would at least be bearable and the overall price would probably be less.

I'd be punching my computer screen and breaking my keyboard if I had to deal with slow internet. I've become accustomed to the internet at work, and it's usually in the 80 Mbps range. Though I suppose I would take slow internet over no internet at all. I feel like someone has cut off a limb when I don't have access to the interweb.

I've never gotten anything from them at SDCC. I don't know how they sell their exclusives, but I can definitely go by and see if I can get one. Sometimes it's as easy as getting to the booth quickly and sometimes they have a weird process. I'll check it out though. As I tell everyone I try to get an exclusive for: no promises but I'll try my best.

Announcing the world premiere of the 1/12 Synthetic Human Clear!
Initial sales will be at 3DRetro (BOOTH #5250) during San Diego Comic-Con (July 19 ~ 23). And the following week, the figure will also be available at ACG HK (July 28~Aug 1) held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.

Global online sales will begin from JULY 31 at the following retailers:

Ami Ami (Japan)
3D Retro (USA - West Coast)
Tenacious Toys (USA - East Coast)
Ko-re Ko-re (UK & Europe)
JP TOYS/Playhouse Store (Thailand)

Limited amounts of the figure will also available at upcoming events including:
Singapore Toys, Games and Comics Convention on September 9 & 10
Taipei Toy Festival on October 7~10

I'll still try to get one just in case.

At least I know I can spend a tense night F5'ing AmiAmi if you don't manage to get one. I'm actually glad they're not making these releases as absurdly hard-to-get as the SDCC Test Type Body from a couple of years back, that now sells for over $1k...

I just noticed that they're not selling the 1/6 and 1/12 at the same booth. Stuff like that irritates me. I have to spend a day or two before SDCC getting organized so I know exactly which booths I need to hit for what items. I've already started a list of Must Do, Would Like To Do, and If I Can Then Cool But If Not Then That's Ok.
