Did you guys see that Batman Begins 1/4 by HT? Jesus, it looks mother****ing incredible.

When’s preview night again?

Jesus I need that Batman.

God help me if I ever end up living somewhere with the space for quarter scale figures. Be interesting to see which ends up being better, it's got some seriously stiff competition in the form of the old Enterbay figure.

That does look beastly!

Lol that is classic! Did you have somebody make that for you or just happened to get lucky?

I did a search for "zod t-shirt" and it popped up. I had to have it. I almost didn't get it in time though. It took over a week to arrive and I got it Monday before we left.

Has anyone started a centralised thread for SDCC pics, reveals and announcements yet? So much good stuff already flying across the internet, we should probably put it all in one place...

We went to the Chuck Jones Gallery today. They had some nice pieces, but holy **** were they expensive. I should have expected gallery prices to be high, but some really surprised me. Here's two pieces I almost bought until I saw the price.

$1750 for Super Bugs

$1695 for Petruccio Superman

I really want the Petruccio piece, but that price...

That's a really big price tag!

Excellent pictures, Zod. I'm super thankful to get to see the show via your documentation

I was very sad to leave the gallery without that Superman piece. It's taking a lot of willpower not to say "**** it" and go back and buy it. My stupid brain keeps telling me "Well, what the **** are credit cards for then?"

They're all prints and giclees. The Super Bugs was an artist proof 25 of 50. I can't remember what number the Petruccio Superman was, but I think it was limited to 125.

The best part of $2k seems like a bit much to me for something that's not an original, but then again I'm not a collector...

I just realized that it's past the deadline for Terry Dodson to notify me if he was going to do the Ursa commission or not. Guess the answer is "not".

Unfortunately, when compared to a lot of prints like that the price isn't crazy. Alex Ross definitely has pieces that hit that price. I'm sure there's a decent gallery mark-up too. I've bought quite a few prints secondhand so I am used to getting deals on the ones I buy. If the damn thing was $800-1000 I probably would have bought it without thinking about it. :lol $1700 plus shipping to get it home is a bit much--at least that's what I keep telling myself. It was a pretty big piece too so I'm sure the size had a lot to do with the high price.

Well that sucks :( Always liked that guy's style.

Me too. I got my hopes up when he put me on his short-list of 25, but for all I know, he only picked 3 people. He made it clear from the start that being on the short-list was just an opportunity that he might pick your idea, but it's still disappointing. I figured no one has ever asked him to draw Ursa so maybe that would give me a leg up.

Sell durden and you are 1/4 the way there!! What the hell, he's just sitting in the box anyways! LOL

If I got off my *** and sold everything I had in boxes I could buy damn near whatever I wanted. :lol That's how I bought my 1:1 Terminator so maybe I should do another culling.
