Has anybody here seen The Last Jedi yet? What did you guys think?

I personally hated it. It's not only garbage but it ruins TFA for me to an extent too. In terms of my pure enjoyment of it I might rank it as the worst in the entire franchise.

At this point I'm just so over Star Wars and I don't really care anymore save for the original trilogy and even then I'm not as invested as a fan compared to comic book related stuff..

Yup. That’s pretty much where I stand on it. Don’t think for a minute that our being related means that there exists some sort of obligation for me to like you or give two ****s about you because, if I think you’re a ****, I’ll treat you the way I treat everyone else I think is a ****: I’ll tell you to “**** off.”

I haven’t seen TLJ yet. I left the theater disappointed after TFA so if TLJ is worse then I’m really not going to like it.

I was seriously disappointed after TFA, too, but I really dug TLJ. I went into the movie knowing zero spoilers, but I knew that it was kind of divisive for people. Suffice it to say, I kept going and going and going and thinking “when’s the divisive part coming up?” And I really didn’t find anything too great to complain about. I loved it, but that’s just me. Ironic that it’s Rian Johnson, though; the guy behind the most divisive episode of Breaking Bad: “Fly.” This movie is basically the “Fly” of Star Wars, it seems. People either love it or hate it with no middle ground to be found between.

I feel like the new Star Wars movies are to the old Star Wars movies like the DCEU films are to the DC animated series/films. Everything has gotten too far away from the feel and theme of the old stuff I love for me to enjoy them. I’m better off enjoying the old stuff than watching the new stuff that pisses me off.

Honestly it just hard with my parents , they are way beyond comfortable travel and staying outside their bubble life in retirementville Florida....

They say they wanna come then end up pretty much sit around watching TV .....and eager to leave.

My sister in law and her partner were some seriously cool people. But lately her partner seems to find reasons to be uncomfortable with anything they do....can’t eat out (restricted diet) doesn’t wanna go out side (bugs), movies are too loud .....it’s a new problem or phobia every visit.....which is a shame because my wife and her sister are super close having lived though a lot of bad stuff as kids.....

Well at least my sisters partner asked me to show her all the Star Wars films.....yes folks , she has never seen a single one.....

So I got a SW Marathon guaranteed between Xmas and New Years...

The question is what order? She wanted to see them in sequential time order.....

I said no way.....order or release or I am out...

I'm so anti-social that I don't even care if the people aren't that annoying. I just don't want to sit through the same stupid conversations that we have every year. I don't care what's going on in their lives. If I did, we'd talk more than once or twice a year. And I sure as **** don't want them in my house. When my wife has people over I don't rearrange my schedule at all. When it's time for bed, I leave the conversation and go to bed.

I did FINALLY open my Fight Club set. Those figures are ****ing fantastic! I can't believe I waited so long to check them out. I'm in the process of getting figures and statues on display so I'll get some pics taken at some point.

And I don’t wanna hear any bitchin about inlaws... I gotta go over to the old lady’s mom’s house for the weekend. You ever watch paint dry?

We get to sit around and watch these people waiting to die! All the while judging you up and down for being an alcoholic because all I end up doing is get plastered to kill the time!

I can't believe I finally opened the FC set either. After seeing them in-hand, I don't think I would have minded paying full price for this set, but I'm glad I waited and got that crazy deal on them. Now I just have to keep the ball rolling and open my Bond figures and Armored Batman.
