The Fight Club figures really surprised me seeing them in-hand. Plus, I love the accessories. I need to get them set up and posed, but I'm really happy with them just out of the box.

I'm getting the last of the gifts I bought for my family today. After I get them wrapped I am officially done with Christmas presents! :rock

This is the time of year that people are supposed to be a little nicer and more considerate than usual. Unfortunately, it seems that people only get more desperate and ****** towards each other.

I had a package that was supposedly delivered last week that I never got. It was two original NES games complete in the box. Star Wars, and The Simpsons: Bart vs The Space Mutants. Not sure if they were stolen or not as my mailman seems to be under the impression he may have dropped it off at the wrong address as the time of delivery doesn't really coincide with when he usually reaches my house. Hoping he'll find them at some point, but it ain't looking too good right now. Fingers crossed.

Watchman is definitely a downer to watch....

But you cannot deny two amazing scenes....Dr Manhattan leaving earth and his explanation for it...

And Rosharch ‘s Death.......pretty amazing stuff about the nature of humanity.

I am currently in wrapping mode....took a week of last week to finish shopping for the little things....

Starting Thursday 2 week of company staying at my house......

I don't like people in my house. It's my Fortress of Solitude. My wife will have some of her family over for a little bit this holiday season, but other than that, no one's coming over. I don't think a member of my family has been in my house for years. :lol

My favorite Christmas was when my wife and I were living in London. No family, no one coming over--just a leisurely day of staying in bed in pj's, opening presents, and taking a nap. Scrambling around to make sure we see both of our families for all the Christmas meals is exhausting.

Dude I totally understand. I wish I could just be at home with my wife and kids. I hate going to Christmas parties and celebrations. I just wished people would not expect that of me so I can just slouch at home.

I'm off Friday through Tuesday. I'm going out Friday for my B-Day, but after that I'm sitting in my own filth the rest of the time.

My Mother Law always has to invite herself over and my wife always gives an excuse. I just outright tell her to say, blame it on me, I don't want her here.

OMG I tell my wife the same thing. My mom-in-law is actually pretty good. But my bro-in-law is mega ******. His family reminds me of Adam Scott's character from Stepbrothers. Cannot stand having his family at my house.

And the thing is, she doesn't want her there either but doesn't want to start a fight over it. I just don't care how she'll take it, she's the most worthless piece of **** I've ever encountered on this planet.

I'm so anti-social that I don't even care if the people aren't that annoying. I just don't want to sit through the same stupid conversations that we have every year. I don't care what's going on in their lives. If I did, we'd talk more than once or twice a year. And I sure as **** don't want them in my house. When my wife has people over I don't rearrange my schedule at all. When it's time for bed, I leave the conversation and go to bed. :lol

I know what you mean. The smaller the amount of people, the better. I'm glad I don't have any parents around for only the simple fact of not having to deal with ****** family members around the holidays anymore. I don't want to go to someone's house for dinner and see people I don't want to.

I'm the boss, and that's that.

Luckily, my wife understands how I am and does her best to shield me from the worst of the family gatherings. I'm sure her family thinks I hate them or that I'm not a good son-in-law, but it's really better for everyone if I'm not involved. I'm not very good at hiding my desire to be somewhere else when I've hit my limit.

I’m one of those people that hates family gatherings because...well, he kind of hates his family.:lol I’ve never been a big believer in the whole “Blood is thicker than water” thing. It’s more “congratulations! We’re related! You’re still a piece of ****!” kind of deal. It’s like “oh, hey! The sycophant showed up! Imbecile’s here! Oh, there’s the hypocrite showing up with his 50th kid. Quick, hide the cranberry sauce.”
