I need to get a pipe leak repaired and probably replace the water heater tank. I hate having to pay for "adult" stuff like home repairs. :lol Same thing with my car--paying for oil changes and tire rotations pisses me off.

I just had the insurance guy out today to assess damage from a pipe leak. The wife and i spent the weekend pulling up wet/destroyed laminant. Luckily I'm fully covered.

On a side-note, did you get my pm? I swear to Christ that I'm going to get your stuff out in the mail this week. I have been a total slack *** lately.

Now watching Justice League. 3 minutes in and the PlayStation graphics in Arkham Knight look more realistic than the CG of Batman dodging bullets, although I'm sure this would be the least of my worries. :lol

****. I thought I replied to you and I didn't. As always, I'm going to be happy no matter when you send the stuff out so no rush on my end.

I have to call someone about the leak this week. Luckily, it's in the garage so no worries about the floor there. It's just annoying having to pay someone an ***-ton off money because I don't know enough to fix it myself.

I'm going to watch Justice League this week. It kills me that I wasn't excited enough about it to see it in the theater. I'm honestly not really looking forward to watching it at all, but I end up seeing every comic book movie anyway--no matter how Fan4tastic bad it is. JL should have been the film that I put up with all the annoying ******** at a theater several times. I don't know how WB has ****ed up so bad that I'm meh about everything they're doing now.

Just finished it. It's just your generic shlock that's been done a thousand times already. Granted, It's not as bad as BvS or SS, but it's nothing to write home about either. The characters range from okay (Superman & Cyborg) to just underwhelming (Batman & Aquaman). A mess of a movie that's unremarkable and forgettable after a couple of days. Heck, I think I already forgot the movie already! :lol

I wanted to do a DC marathon of MOS and BvS before watching JL, but I don't think I can make myself sit through BvS again.

I didn't know you liked self inflicted pain! :lol

Tomorrow I'll be watching Wonder Woman, I hope the effects in it doesn't look like a videogame like in JL. The CG is really bad. :lol

I thought Wonder Woman was ok--which means compared to BvS and SS it was great. :lol The end is an absolute CGI **** show. There are also some acting (and not just Gadot's) that made me cringe. Overall, I didn't think it lived up to the hype, but there are bits and pieces I'd fast-forward to if I ever watch it again.

I can't remember for sure, but I think I gave Wonder Woman a 6 as well. I haven't watched it again, so I don't know if that score will get better or worse on a second viewing.

The thing that really boggles my mind is the budget and sheer quantity of actors that are at disposal for these flicks... and they churn out stuff that is just sub par. the 2 factors in life (time and money) seems like it is endless for these high end studios and production companies... so how can they just NOT get it right? then i watch something on "made for tv" type things like altered carbon on netflix... and the production, story and acting is amazing! just don't get it man, really don't!!

It really is shocking to see the poor quality they produce with $150-250 million. Better writing and more accurate portrayal of the characters would go a long way. I would forgive some of the **** CGI if they would just make me give a **** about what was going on.

on a more uplifting topic... i just told spectrum (brighthouse) to suck my left nut! most rewarding phone call i've made in my life!! :lol

swapped over to at&t uverse on fiber optic internets... super happy and saving $80 a month!

I still haven't seen BvS :lol I mean I've seen all the pivotal plot points already on YT.

I don't hate BvS as much as some people, but it's a mess. Some parts of it are actually quite excellent in terms of visuals and dialogue, others are utterly terrible. I think it might have been a stronger film if Snyder and Terrio hadn't been forced to rewrite it on the fly to incorporate Justice League cameos, Wonder Woman and Doomsday - supposedly it originally ended with Superman apprehending Lex while Batman rescued Martha Kent.

I might be the only person who doesn't mind millennial Lex (it's made clear in the movie he's the "real" Lex's son), his motivations for wanting Superman dead and attempts to morally justify it to himself were interesting, to me at least.

That's what I feel killed this universe from it's inception. They hamfisted in cameos, and hurried the story along way too quickly to universe build to be comparable to the MCU. In doing so, you made the characters very hollow. The MCU as I understand it, has been a gradual process with all the characters building toward the Avengers. DCU had their Avengers... after three films :lol

I wish they would get fiber optic available at residences here. They've been talking about it for years, but nothing yet. We have it at work and I love it.

There are some good bits in BvS, but the stuff they messed up overshadows any good for me. "Lex" in that film was a complete piece of **** interpretation for me. What's-his-face that played him made him too quirky with too many verbal and visual tics for me to take him seriously. Give me Lex from the Superman animated series or even Lex Sr. or Lex Jr. from Smallville instead.

Here's a couple quick thoughts of what I wish we would have gotten:

In BvS--Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman (with the same entrance because that ****ing rocked) fighting Steppenwolf and some Parademons to lead to them fighting Darkseid in JL.
Make Aquaman and Flash solo films with one or two of the Trinity having a cameo as a recruiter in each before JL.
Superman's 2nd film showing him as the hero he's supposed to be with Lex and Brainiac as the villains before JL.
Doomsday for the third Superman film after JL.
And of course, a Batman film in there somewhere because Zod forbid everyone doesn't get a Batman film every couple years.
