That's not gonna happen any time soon because they're still hoping to catch up with Marvel, which is futile. DC is the master of stopgap measures, so they'll do anything to get as many people as possible in the theater seat whereas Marvel has been confident in their craft and their characters enough that their movies almost write themselves at this point.

On a side note, one of the jokes my friend said people were laughing the most at the JL screening was when Flash asked Batman what's his superpower, and he replies that he's rich, which the theater erupted with laughter with a bunch of 15 year olds going "That's so true. omg hashtag etc". That's the worst Batman joke you can tell and a testament of how DC doesn't treat their characters right. Batman's powers isn't that he's rich, is that he has almost superhuman resiliency.

It boggles my mind that "joke" would get big laughs from audiences. For starters, it's not funny. Secondly, it was in the trailers, and commercials.

I'm quickly losing hope that things for DC are going to get better any time soon. They're not doing what's necessary to right the ship. Apart from Wonder Woman, every other franchise should have been put on the back burner, and eventually rebooted when the time is right. They are just wasting time by continuing with anything else that isn't Wonder Woman. I know Aquaman can't be helped because that was filmed prior to JL, but really, by all rights that movie should not exist.

Flashpoint will be their free get out of jail card, it would take a spectacular level of stupidity to mess that up.

If I retire at 62, then I have just under 20 years to go. I'm sure social security will be gone by then so I'll probably have to work until I'm 70. Basically, I'm counting on one of you guys winning the lottery and being my sugar daddy. WARNING: I'm extremely high maintenance but the bob and vagene is totally worth it.

I probably got another 30+ years left. And yes, SSI will more than likely be dead by then due to abuse and mismanagement. There needs to be a more stringent screening process to get approved before retirement age because I can 100% verify plenty of people I know that shouldn't be on it.

My one neighbor currently is, he purposely gets hurt on the job and has been on SSD ever since, while always outside doing something physical. I'd love to report him but I think you need the SS#, which is just silly since how do they expect you to give them confidential information. Someone did report him once somehow since I heard him bitching to another neighbor about it.

We have a lot of people here that collect disability yet are all over town doing odd jobs for cash. There's one guy that's been getting it for years, but somehow his "disability" doesn't affect his golf game.

That's the biggest thorn in my ***. You can make just that you don't qualify for benefits. While you have able bodied people that somehow go under the radar and claim disability, but work under the table and make more than people on the books.

There's tons of welfare lifers in my neighborhood. When I used to work 7-3, I would walk home from the train station and see the dregs of society sitting on their step smoking during regular business hours.

The older I get, the more I hate the human race. Why the **** would Aliens ever bother with such filth.

On a lighter note, sorta. I gotta get my roof repaired. I was getting two leaks in two separate rooms, once of which was my collectible box storage room. My one Medicom Berserk box is more or less totaled. At least the accessories are wrapped in a claim shell. It's a very light leak and barely did anything last night. I'm probably going to have to get the ceiling redone in that room in particular. I really need to hit the lottery so I can move.

I need to get a pipe leak repaired and probably replace the water heater tank. I hate having to pay for "adult" stuff like home repairs. Same thing with my car--paying for oil changes and tire rotations pisses me off.

I was getting my tax return this week and I was going to maybe spend close to a grand on stuff to catch up on and set some aside for vacation, as well as get a new bed. I guess the bed has got to wait. Hopefully it can just be patched.

I wish I was a kid again so I wouldn't need to worry about this ****.

I'm not planning on doing too much repair work (if I can get away with it) until after taxes are done. I'm sure I'm going to owe so I want to wait and see what the damage is.

I also need to redo our kitchen. Nothing fancy--paint the cabinets, new counter top, sink, and back splash--but even doing it cheap will cost a few grand I'm sure. It's the last room in the house that needs to be done, but I don't want to spend a ton on it since we won't stay here forever.

I took off part of the day Friday to get a new passport, but didn't get to do anything fun. I keep telling myself I'm going to take a day off here and there, but it's not happening yet. Too much going on that I need to be here for--at least for now. I'd like to take another trip to Vegas soon to blow off some steam--and maybe help pay off that pinball machine.

In good news....I finally got a great mold for my custom figure....making a bunch of heads now.
