DC doesn't share with itself very well. Separating their TV and film divisions has caused shows like Arrow to lose characters just because they might be used in a film. Arrow isn't allowed to bring Deathstroke back on the show now that he's going to be in the new Batman movie. Arrow also lost Deadshot, who was done better as a character on the show than in SS. I don't know what loophole they're using to be able to bring Superman on the Supergirl show, but I wish they'd get rid of the character ban and just be able to use who they want to service the stories they're telling.

In the end greedy *******s not letting us get quality.

Eh, I'm not sure if not being able to use a handful of characters is really not getting "quality" since the end product is still a fantastic Justice League cartoon. We had already seen a good amount of Atlantis and Aquaman with the previous JL cartoon in the DCAU before JLU anyways. I can't remember if he ever appeared in JLU or not.

On another note, moving onto the lesser-known Justice Leaguers instead was an interesting choice, and they made it work pretty well. It was a great way of introducing new fans who are unfamiliar with the comics to characters they had never heard of, so in a way I don't feel bad that we never saw the "off-limits" characters make appearances. But certain characters being "off-limits", especially popular characters, is definitely strange. I just don't think it ruined the show.

Really strange about the character sharing between shows and the films. I wonder what the reasoning is behind that really is, especially since it's not a shared universe. So much wasted potential. Hopefully that's softening up with Supes being on Supergirl.

They even killed Waller on Arrow because Suicide Squad was coming out. :slap
Why bother if it's a separate universe??? Being a DC fan is kinda rough sometimes. [emoji35] it's got to be so frustrating for the show runners as well. Pull it together DC and give me my good Superman movie!

This should explain a lot. Though it really sounds stupid to implement such a policy today:

Also, reading that a lot of BTAS cast would have shown up on JLU makes me sad of the wasted opportunity. All for that "The Batman" show. :(

It's not like anyone wouldn't be able to figure out that the cartoons, TV shows, LEGO films, and DCEU films don't exist in the same exact universe. Multiple universes aren't anything new to DC.

EDIT: Just read through that Bat-Embargo wiki page. It's truly baffling how even Harley Quinn was off-limits too, considering she was made for that doggone universe. I didn't realize how many characters weren't able to be used, and how many storylines were altered because of it.
One of the weirdest things I've ever heard of.

What's even more frustrating is that they are embracing the idea of other universes by doing crossovers between the Flash and Supergirl shows. They've already established that the TV shows aren't in the same universe as the films, so why not just go with it and allow the tv writers/producers to use whatever characters are necessary for their stories?

I think it's more to a matter of ego. You don't want don't to potentially be upstaged by a cartoon character/TV show unless it's a tie in or shared revenue.

Then they should put more effort into correctly writing their characters. :dunno

Hamill and Conroy at Fan Expo Canada hinted that they'd be interested in voicing Hush or Death in the Family next. I'd like to see either one get made, though Hush would be cool since it has so many characters in it. Death in the Family could be another R rated film depending on how much brutality they showed.

deathstroke is a neat character

Jesus, when did film and tv industries turn into a child custody case?

I went to Hastings yesterday to see about getting the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection for cheap and was surprised to see that they had one left. I ended up getting it for $26 brand new. :rock I also looked at their fixtures because I want to put a display case in my office at work, and I had a 10% off fixtures coupon Hastings emailed to me. I ended up finding a single unit with sliding double doors, but it wasn't easy because they're selling most of them as sets of 2-5 units. Gonna pick it up at some point this week--luckily the store is right across the street from our building so it won't have to go far. For anyone that's thinking of getting display cabinets from Hastings--BE WARNED! If they have electronics then they are requiring you to get an electrician to disconnect them from the power pole at the store and then you have to buy insurance. I don't know what all that would cost but the guy there acted like it would more than double the price. I was lucky and found a single unit that wasn't connected to a pole, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered getting anything there.

Such a great price for 3 awesome games! When are you gonna start playing?

I haven't logged in the PS4 in months, I was kinda thinking maybe I'd get Resident Evil 4 but now that the Arkham Collection is coming out on October, I'd definitely wait for that.

I may not get a chance to play much this week since I'm going to finish the third season of Batman Beyond first. I'll definitely get started on the first one this weekend though. I was surprised Hastings had one left since their game section was really picked over.
