I don't have any plans for Force Friday. The only figure I think I'm interested in from the new film is an old Luke in his new black outfit, but who knows when that will actually go up for preorder.

I'm probably going to grab the new Luke Funko and star destroyer lego set tomorrow. I know a lot of people really like the black series figures but I just never really wanted that line.

I'm a villain groupie. All my life I've generally preferred the bad guy, especially when it's an evil version of a hero. As such, this may be my new favorite Star Wars character.

It looks pretty damn good. My only nitpick is that I wish they would have added a Sith HS. I think I would have ordered it immediately then. Regardless, I'll probably end up picking it up at some point even though I didn't care for his whiny *** until he gave in to the Dark side.

What's not to love? Heroes sucks. They get all broody over nothing.
... And the bad guys have the best lines.

I really like my sphero bb8. I just wish it didn't need the app to make sounds. They should have build in small speakers. So are the Porg the new ewoks?

True, plus villain backstories and motivations are usually much more compelling to me--and their outfits are much cooler.

I already don't like the Porg for some reason.
I've barely seen them in anything, but I have a feeling they're just being thrown in to sell plush toys to kids--like the ewoks. Have you seen the new remote control R2-D2? It looks amazing but not for $180.

That got me thinking about the current state of DCEU, I really don't identify with any of the heroes. Superman? Mopey. Batman? Stupid. I kinda wished they would Flashpoint the whole thing and kill of the current characterizations (keep the actors if they want, I don't mind). Heck, maybe they'll eventually do it if JL tanks.

In making their universe gritty and "more realistic", the DC film heroes are portrayed with so many faults that the "hero" aspect gets blurred. Even with good intentions, they don't have overall heroic tendencies, and most of their heroic motivations are followed through with actions typically attributed to a villain. Given the parenting Clark was given, I'm actually shocked he ended up wanting to do any good for the world at all. His parents are consistently telling him to stay hidden, not help, and that he doesn't owe the world anything--not really the type of advice that provides a young man with the moral tools he needs to become the greatest hero ever. It's telling with how far off the mark WB has gotten in regard to their heroes and villains when I though Zod was the more sympathetic character in MOS.
I was just telling Ryan in another thread I'm finally going through with it to make a Youtube channel. Primarily Let's Plays of classic games and I'd like to do figure reviews too since I got the iPhone 7 now and I have 200+ figures at my disposal.

Awesome! I've thought about doing that, but I figured it'd be so time consuming that I wouldn't keep up with it.
Yeah, it's a commitment. You need to have regular good content to get any type of viewership. We were going to record a full playthrough of Resident Evil 3 tonight and upload parts of it every day. I'm probably going to start with nothing but PS1 games.
She doesn't have the skill I have with games, so I'll be doing most of the playthroughs and she's just there for commentary. She knows all these all games almost as well as I do since she's seen me play them a bunch of times.

I made one with a PVC frame and draped a sheet over it. Works fine for action figures and such, plus you can make it as large as you want.

you want something nice and easy to use and setup... and it folds away to a flat square you can tuck away easily... this thing is great! i use the 24" one.
