If you think about it this is really no different than a regular premium format, it doesnt have any light up feature etc.. and a relatively simple sculpt/paint.

Unless they made it completely solid or something, it shouldnt be more than $500. Anything above that is pure price gouging due to the popularity of the character.

Unfortunately when it comes to this character there is no choice, we are at the mercy of sideshow and have to let them take advantage of us.

I mean who here is NOT going to order hulk? that's right noone...

We are assuming it'll have fabric pants because the thing was nekkid. We don't even though if that's the LE/SSC maquette we are getting or something based on that. The piece shown in that video was simply a point of reference, the maquette I'm sure would still have to created or else they'd simply stitch it and get the proto shown. If SSC is calling it a maquette then I have no reason not to assume that another maquette will be made up that includes pants that look similar if not identical to this but that it isn't this exactly.

It's a joint effort with Legacy Effects. That automatically has people shooting the price upwards in their minds. The Destroyer according to it's description was around $500 and was a joint effort, I would imagine with the way pricing is going this will be slightly higher probably around $549 but I don't think it'll be too much higher than that in all reality looking at the history of the pieces on their site.

but it will prolly have fabric pants, which technically will make it a pf. Don't care about ES BS, just make this affordable, want Hulk.

yes most likely fabric pants as the sculpt we saw has him naked. if it's sculpted pants it would already be on him.

I am surprised you not telling everyone it will be a lsf :lol

I love how people are simply assuming that the piece we saw in the video IS the one we are getting! Do you guys really think that Legacy Effects made 1 maquette that carried all throughout filming and then will make it over to China for mass production? Really?

I guarantee you that there are multiples of this, as they were points of reference, with pants, without pants, with different expressions, with damage, etc. Sideshow was simply showing this as a 'what to expect' not a sign that this is exactly what we are getting right now.

It mightn't even be the same size. Destroyer certainly wasn't the same size as the original maquette.

:goodpost: Finally, a logical, practical, point of view. I actually believe,(or hope:pray:), that the released Legacy offering will be more dynamically posed, as Hulk should. If not(?), still a kick-ass sculpt with plenty of detail.:wink1:

If this ends up being around the 500.00 - 600.00 range I will snatch one up. I have enough smaller things to sell in order to get that. I will have to sell a PF to make room though:(

If you have a EX Skaar PF on PO, I think you should unload that. It'll make plenty of room for the Hulk maquette and I know someone who will take Skarr off your hands. :wave

If you really believe that this Hulk won't cost more than $500, I'm afraid you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Legacy? Maquette? Big? Blockbuster movie? There is no way this will cost less than $800.....

But I hope I'm wrong and you are right, my friend.....

Cheers

what's the point of SS posting of pic of that maquette on FB if they weren't going to offer that specific version?

who said it's not? it will be this version with pants on and probably more detailed paint & base in the reveal.

it makes no sense if they officially post this then release a different hulk. :slap

After seeing the movie tonight, I will definitely add this piece to my collection.

Too bad the pose does not reflect one bit Hulk's behavior in the movie (he's a beast, just like he should be. At last!!)

Preview tonight? :)

Please Sideshow  I want also a huge, huge smile on my face tonight :lol

Mark Ruffalo: "I walked in and saw a model sculpture of The Hulk and it looked exactly like me and I got a huge, huge smile on my face."

I don't understand where the confusion is? The following Sideshow statment speaks for itself:-
In the first clip catch Mark ruffalo checking out the Hulk Maquette, a piece currently in development with Legacy Effects, which will be available through Sideshow Collectibles.com in the near future! (And yes, he will have pants.)
Hope that clears it up. The piece seen is the production statue they are working on.

I can't imagine this not going up this week or the next, capitalize on the hype, but I suppose the hype will prolly last awhile.

if everything goes as we expect, we should have the preview announced today, full reveal next tues, and preorder thurs, for the avengers opening on friday.

that's the logical marketing process, but we know sideshow is anything but logical many times...

so...
