Think I'm going to leave the big fella alone :monkey2
My collection is all movie items now.
So tempted!

You are a strong one to resist such a great scuplt...but such a decision usually leads to the best type of collection. One that themed and unique to your likes.

That said if you break and get this one I'm sure you'll find a nice place for it somewhere....:)

Tracking my maquette like a beast on the fedex app, he will be here tomoz!:panic:

As for planet hulk, he looks amazing and I dig the book, but I think it's best to wait it out and see the full roster of statues that SS will unveil over the course of comic con. Peeps are riding the hype and rushing in like loons to throw down PO's on day one like hooker's panties!:rotfl

new hulk makes maquette look, well.. lame...

bodie

Disagree completely... I get where you are coming from but comparing PH to a "typical" Hulk is like saying New PH PF makes old PF, comi, and Maquette look.. well... Lame...

If I was only to own one Hulk I would choose the other three over this one since Hulk really only appears in this full outfit for a couple of panels in the story.. All other Hulks are classic looks and that is what I like..

I also think the Maquettes Body sculpt is better and more realistic looking but that is what I prefer... I feel the same way about the original PF and Comiquette.... Both had better body sculpts IMO.

Now if I was to collect many hulks then I would have this as it is an awesome representation of PH.

Hope I don't come across as bashing on PH as it is an awesome statue. As a Hulk fan I just prefer the more classic look.

If I was going to own another Hulk I would go for WWH since in I his most powerful incarnation. But even then if I could only choose one I would still go with a more traditional look.

:exactly::goodpost: and great teeth

It's normal to compare but there's no better, it's just down to preference. If this was a comic Hulk I would never of cancelled my order on this but I remember how blown away I was by this piece when it was 1st revealed. Amazing statue

Although I appreciate the artistic value of the gladiator Hulk I still prefer The Maquette, the classic "green raging monster"!

People get consumed by the hype so much that they start talking crazy, this hulk is still awesome, it's based on and awesome movie, hulk stole that movie during the ny fight, this hulk is synonymous to how one felt watching the hulk own everything in that film. Pure epicness, that said gladiator hulk it's awesome in his own merit, from picture looks perfectly executed, so no need to compare really I have the MQ and I have the PH PF on order.

^this
same character but 2 completely different beasts
i was never a fan of the PF but when i saw the Maquette i was blown away...and most importantly, i knew he would fit in perfectly with my Avengers display
the Gladiator Hulk is an awesome piece as well (love it)...but since i already spent $650+ on the Maquette he'll probably be a pass for me...the other factor is room...i'm running out of it and have to be very picky as to what i purchase from now on
so as much as i like the "Gladiator", i have no room for 2 Hulks
