The initial painted shots of Joel looks spot on, so it must be the lighting. I'd need to see a clearer shot of Ellie to fully judge it.

I've been excited to see pics of them, but from what I've seen so far, there is something odd about them. But at the same time, excited to see some nice looking tLoU figures being offered.

Ellie looks like the thought process was "just get it close enough." She's a teenage girl wearing Ellie's shirt, but it's not Ellie.

Something about maybe the lighting is giving Joel's eyes a cat-like appearance. Other than that, I think he looks great. But the eyes are throwing it off.

I think they are very good. I came into this saying I would buy them, no question. Then I thought on it and came the conclusion that $900 for a set, which I have to pay for, before they ever ship, is just not worth it. I love this game more than words can say. I'm obsessed. However, I know that other companies will produce stuff eventually and I'm just going to wait it out. A nice art print I can hang up would actually suit me just fine.

I really want a mixed media PF of Joel & Ellie. I can imagine at 1/4 scale, & for the pair, it might even be cheaper than these figures. But of course, we live in the now, & I want something (of good quality) to fill the tLoU figure/statue void for now.

Here is what I want for a tLoU collectible. A Joel & Ellie mixed media 1/4 scale statue diorama, digitally sculpted by Michael Knowland, with a quality paint job.

TriForce? Sideshow? Naughty Dog? You read that?

I'm with you on all counts.

I'd pay Hot Toys prices for them, no doubt. But I'm out of the customs game, after buyer's remorse on a couple of them made me realize that my love of 1/6th didn't outweigh the price of some customs.

I want something definitive to have from this game, so hopefully we get something great in the future.

I will also throw my name in as someone who LOVES this game. I have spent alot of money on my custom bashed Joel, and would kill to have an Ellie in my collection to put next to him, however, I'm going to pass on the set. 1k is a lot to spend on 2 figures, great looking figures IMO. I might buy the Joel head to replace my commando sculpt. But for now, I'm happy with what I've put together and will wait for another company to release figures. I would think if ND makes a sequel, some company would jump at the opportunity to capitalize on the popularity of the first game and release figs.
