With the exception of the first Silent Hill.

That is, until somebody reminded Konami that game movies are supposed to be bad so they adhered to that notion in the sequel to rectify the status quo.

I'd say 5% of game films are actually good. Mortal Kombat and Silent Hill are the only ones that come to mind for me.

I don't see the point of this movie other than what was said about it being a money grab. The reason the game was so great was because you spent hours with these two characters and went through their experiences together and began to care for them. No 90minute to 2 hour movie will be able to copy that.

This game is perfect, I don't want a movie to ruin it. I typically don't let video game movies ruin the game for me, I watch them and they're fine even if they're bad. But in this case, please don't make one.

Lol yeah. They'll probably cast an unknown for the role, but then again, Hollywood does make the stupidest decisions.

I saw some of it, didn't care too much for it. I don't like Will Smith.

I watched the 1hr30 making of TLOU. Learnt some cool stuff, and really makes you apprecaite the amount of hard work they put into that game. Highlights were watching the mo capping of the actors (which also voiced the characters) and the concept art team at work. Best game on the last gen for sure!

The Last of Us 2: Joel actor says he would return, series "not a money grab"
Troy Baker says he would gladly accept a role in a follow-up to Naughty Dog's 2013 PlayStation 3 action game.

If The Last of Us 2 does indeed happen, Joel actor Troy Baker would gladly sign up to be a part of it, the prolific voice actor said in a new interview. He explained that he's so drawn to developer Naughty Dog because he believes they are out to tell great stories and aren't in the business of making games for money alone.

"Of course [I'd come back]," Baker told IGN. "What I love again is they're not going to tell a story if they don't have one to tell. The Last of Us is not a money grab. If there's a role for me in something in the future to do with The Last of Us, absolutely I would do it, twice on Sunday."

Baker also offered up his assessment of The Last of Us expansion Left Behind (our Game Of The Month for February), saying he thoroughly enjoyed it and believes it was "two of the best hours of gameplay that I've had in a long time."

Late last month, The Last of Us creative director Neil Druckmann said Naughty Dog has not yet decided if it will make a sequel to the game. "Right now I'd say it's 50/50," Druckmann said regarding the odds that the studio makes a second entry in the series.

Naughty Dog has at least two internal development teams. While it remains to be see what the Last of Us developers will do next (they are also considering making a new IP), another Naughty Dog team is currently at work on an all-new Uncharted game for the PlayStation 4. This project was dealt a blow recently, as director and writer Amy Hennig departed the studio for reasons unknown.

Yesterday, Naughty Dog confirmed that the Last of Us movie is moving forward, with Druckmann writing the script.

Exactly. I just hope whatever studio distributes it or the producers don't get their grimy hands on it and ruin it. Druckmann has proven he can write a good story, let him do it his way.

I'll be in the minority, and say that I hope TLOU 2 doesn't happen . For me, the original game was just too good, and I loved the open-ended nature of the ending. That said, a sequel would strive too hard to touch on the same level of emotional grit that we saw in TLOU; which is something that it may or may not be able to accomplish. If it happens to fall short on expectations, it would risk devaluing TLOU as just another cash-in that Sony needed to release.

Neil Druckmann created a masterpiece of profound storytelling, and the question I have is whether he'll be able to pull it off for a second time with a sequel. However, I'd rather not know the answer to that...

The figures are really great, but for me as mostly a prop collector, I cannot spend $1000 plus international shipping on a set of two 1:6 figures, no matter how much I like them. Good luck to anyone getting them.

Yeah I'm going to pass, beyond my price budget. Eventually, a company will attempt them. Whether it be Hot Toys or some third party.
