Same here, brother! I just got my first rifle in the game! I don't know whether to utilize it against the guards or play it ninja like I have since the beginning.

I tried the rifle first and it sucked with more than one opponent to take down. After that I went full on ninja

Maybe that's what I'll do; keep being Ninja Joel when I go up against humans, and then just unload everything I've got on those damn Clickers. They're such dirty bastards. At least they're blind, though, or we'd be completely ****ed.

I'm not that much further ahead of you! But so far I've been going full on ninja on everything including infected. Burning through lots of shiva to take down clickers ninja style.

My favourite combo against clickers: use glass bottle to lure clickers together in one spot and Molotov cocktail them. You can take down 3-4 in one hit easy.

Animals are more aware and also faster than humans. A giraffe could easily outrun a clicker and so could a dog. I don't think animals have problems with the infected. Only if they were surrounded.

With the exception, if the giraffe was "aware" it would have run away from eli and joel out of instinct of survival. Also Eli took down a rabbit and deer, both "faster" animals.

Humans have been hunting animals since the dawn of man. With food rations depleted, animal population would have followed, thus the cannibalism. IMO, they pulled a TR and tried to go for shock factor. But in TR the reasoning meshed better.

With the dogs, Joel said they're feral and they would attack.

wow survivor is no joke. Just passed the first Real clicker encounter and Jesus they hear you so fast.

I just got past the section where Ellie covers you with the rifle. There seems to be a hellva lot more guys that you need kill in Survivor, maybe close to 20. It's impossible to get through it in a shootout. Luckily I was able to stealth all the guys and the reinforcements.

The hotel basement where you need to start the generator is insanely tough on Survivor. I only had two shotgun shells, 3 Molotovs, pipe with half life left in it and a brick and somehow managed it.

i had a thought on the generator,could you grab the keycard first then do the generator and then just bolt for the door? if you know the route.

I tried that, the reader is only active after the Generator is started.

yeah i mean grab the card, go to the generator start it up then bolt to the door whilst you already have the card? or does the card only spawn once the generator starts?

Stalkers spawn immediately after getting the card, confrontation is unavoidable. Although the Bloater doesn't spawn until after the Generator. If you get the card first you need to kill 2-3 Stalkers IIRC and when you start the generator you need to kill 2-3 Stalkers and the Bloater. If you start it and run to the card reader door the Bloater and Stalkers are in that hallway already so I assume that's where they spawn after the generator is on.

Be sure to have at least 2 Molotovs and maybe set a bomb to cut at least one Stalker out of the equation.

To give you a heads up I think the most challenging sections I've had so far is clearing the guys out of the building behind the checkpoint and the hotel, the generator section and outside the hotel when Ellie covers you. All back to back without a breather pretty much.

I'm well off now since I cleared the sniper cover area without incident and I actually have some ammo now but I'm out of arrows.

I love this game, but the initial load up is so long.

I clocked it at 6 minutes, and I'm not the only one. I wish I had just bought it digitally, if it would help.
