That looks great!
How easy is it to remove the fat suit? Do you have to break any stitches to get to it? Mine should arrive in a couple of days and I might attempt the same...

I agree on the relaxed hands. Even the v2 figure doesn?t have any. Hopefully HT sees the light and adds some before release. Unlikely I know, but it would be nice.

Unfortunately you do have to unstitch it... but it?s very lazy stitching with pre existing holes so even a Bozo like me who can barely thread a needle can easily stitch it back up if I ever need to.

I may just commit fully as the only other mod I kind of want to do to this guy is chrome his helmet I think fully chromed with weathering would look absolutely badass.

I?ve been looking for industrial chrome paint/ sprayable chrome for awhile to chrome things like plastic swords that should be metal and other things and I think I found some stuff that looks Amazing, not cheap but I have a lot of stuff I?m going to chrome this I think will be one of them and certainly v2

And mods head on so you get an idea on how the proportions make the head size look spot on now.

If only I could sew I’d make his pants tighter. Luckily v2 looks tighter so hopefully they are and can substitute as a replacement for these.

Now I'm confused, Sideshow lists this with:

Six (6) pieces of interchangeable gloved hands including:

One (1) pair of fists
One (1) pair of relaxed hands
One (1) pair of hands for holding weapons

They do show 3 pairs in the promo pics. The third pair is relaxed, but guess people confuse it with holding hands because they are not completely open, and shown holding the tracker...?
It might look a bit weird if the hand were completely opened.

Proportions looks much better. I?m in the process of doing the same with mine. Shoulders came out too broad with the padded suit and his biceps are already big enough on the muscular body. But the sewing part is what would tie it all in perfectly. Nice job 👍🏽

Just picked this one up today and it?s amazing. An absolute beauty of a figure. Not sure what else anyone would need out of this - only thing is his arms seem a bit stiff and difficult to move around but otherwise it?s perfect. Officially the 4th figure in my collection... what have I begun [emoji33]

Decided to try removing the fat suit from Mando. Was much easier than I expected. Didn?t need to unstitch anything on the actual clothes, just the stitching on the back of the fat suit which would be easy to stitch back on. Need to readjust some of the pieces but it does help the somewhat small helmet look better.

Man I don't need to see these changes. Lol but I will probably do it myself anyways even if I didn't know that the fat suit was an issue. Had to wait to pay mine off as I get paid on Tuesday but I'm so glad as said *** it and PO him he will be my first Star Wars figure as I passed up almost every one, but now I might Jump on with Baspin Luke 2.0 and Baspin Han and chewie when they get made. And I'll for sure get Beskar Mando Deluxe.

I guess it?s toss the Fat-suit/padded-suit Sunday :panic:

Actually I only removed material from the shoulder down to the elbows - the parts that always caught my attention - wanted to see how it looked before removing anything else. I?m satisfied with keeping the rest of the suit as it still fills in the rest of the outfit and keeps a firm grip on his gauntlets.

That looks good. I was about to ask you why your pants looked more filled out. The key seems to be working on the upper body to bring the helmet into focus, proportion-wise.

Hmmm 🤔 you just cut the material entirely off from the arms and then cut from the elbow down and put that back on? This does look good. It is true with out the suit the gauntlets, and shin armor is very very loose. I might put it back on and do what you did and maybe remove the extra pad from the chest

Anyone tried to remove the small peg on the strap for the rifle and replace it with a magnet? Since the peg is most likely to break off it would work better to glue a magnet on both ends. That's how Hot toys should have done it.

@ZE_501 - Thanks. I have no practice on a sewing machine so I left everything else. I feel it needs to be taken in some if the leg padding is removed since the pants are so baggy. I?ll futz away the bagginess before wrecking a pair of Mando pants on a sewing machine :)

@Rbeato - Yes. I cut off the arms at the shoulders and replaced the padding just under the gauntlets.

@Luisenigma1 - HT shouldve used magnets. I trimmed the post and sanded so it just fits snug. It holds and is easy to remove but I do wanna tackle a magnet system some time.

Awesome! Thanks. I think I?ll do the same thing.

If I had an OT only collection this is the ONE exception I’d make to it. Even over prequels.

Wow! That is saying quite a bit there, Raymond.

I consider Mando to be within the OT timeline just like Rogue One. Its an awesome figure , pull the trigger now or in a few months it will be almost twice as much.

Ironically enough, I sold off just about all of my Rogue One figures in order to trim down the collection.

I've got the last of my Sideshow Reward Points to spend. I may just throw them all at this one and call it day. Need to sleep on it...
