I consider Mando to be within the OT timeline just like Rogue One. Its an aweseom figure , pull the trigger now or in a few months it will be almost twice as much.

It also helps that those two are the only (arguably and IMO) Star Wars items (non-animated) that are good besides the OT too haha.

I say buy what you like but I totally understand the need to trim down the collection as with Star Wars it’s a slippery slope

Ironically enough, I sold off just about all of my Rogue One figures in order to trim down the collection.

I've got the last of my Sideshow Reward Points to spend. I may just throw them all at this one and call it day. Need to sleep on it...

Yeah I think it stems from the fact that I WISH boba fett was as cool as Mando because he?s the OG... and growing up even though he only ever fires his blaster and then gets his ass whooped you just sort of accept that he?s supposed to be this ultimate bad ass but with the mandalorian you actually get to SEE it and he fits that archetype of character I?m a damn sucker for like the man with no name type anti-hero with a soft spot.

So I feel like I kind of need him because I secretly like him way more than Boba Fett.

I mean it does help also that the show is quality. Unlike the ST and PT there are characters I think are cool like maul, obi wan, qui gon, dooku Kylo etc. but since the movies kind of suck it makes it harder to justify owning them (but I do anyways).

I do think as others have said if you ever want to part with him you might be even able to make money he does seem like one of those guys that will he sought after and when the premier of season 2 happens which is pretty much now this guy may dry up pretty fast.

I struggle with rogue 1 too as I love the film but it?s hard to determine which characters are worth owning. Currently I only don?t own chirrut and still need to track down Krennic. So it seems weird not to have one but I don?t deem him essential at all and there cassian who is not even made.

So I sort of toy with selling them all but Jyn and death trooper but then K2 is so awesome so I get confused again on what to keep and what to sell

Man I love this figure. I drove out an hr & a half to a comic store to acquire him. Now to cancel my sideshow order. Got tired of waiting for whatever my batch is..

Yeah. When the first in-hand pics came out, this is the first fig I was tempted to order from Hong Kong just to get faster. But I got lucky - maybe from POing Day 1. Got an early ship notice from SSC

The tip of draping the cloak over a spike to get a windblown effect works pretty well - good tip. As is the Hallmark ornament.

Unfortunately you do have to unstitch it... but it?s very lazy stitching with pre existing holes so even a Bozo like me who can barely thread a needle can easily stitch it back up if I ever need to.

I may just commit fully as the only other mod I kind of want to do to this guy is chrome his helmet I think fully chromed with weathering would look absolutely badass.

I?ve been looking for industrial chrome paint/ sprayable chrome for awhile to chrome things like plastic swords that should be metal and other things and I think I found some stuff that looks Amazing, not cheap but I have a lot of stuff I?m going to chrome this I think will be one of them and certainly v2

Sounds easy enough. I?ll give it a try, I definitely prefer being able to pose like your pictures. Would it be possible to cut the fat suit and leave the leg portions in place to negate the baggy pants? Or would it be too obviously fatter?

You are not alone. I got tired of waiting and ended up buying one from a retailer on eBay that was in the states last week and got it already. I just put the one from SS on flex and I’ll get it when I get it.

Finally received him today, having a quick nightcap opening. Magnificent figure, the layering on the suit is very nicely detailed. I love the cape and all of his armor. The right thigh is a bit chunky but overall fantastic piece. The TK bucket is detailed well and a complimentary piece. Going to be a tough one to top for FOTY for me. Padding comes off tomorrow, way too restrictive.

Pretty sure they are required by California law to ship within 30 days of FULL payment.

Opening him this weekend with a nice glass of bourbon.

Actually I only removed material from the shoulder down to the elbows - the parts that always caught my attention - wanted to see how it looked before removing anything else. I?m satisfied with keeping the rest of the suit as it still fills in the rest of the outfit and keeps a firm grip on his gauntlets.

Removing the fat-suit improves the overall look alright...but the helmet still looks a tad under scaled. How does it compare in scale next to the HT fett buckets?
