I thought we were talking about the Kenobi series, guess I missed a beat. Besides, Jabba, Maul and Greedo are all dead by the time of the Mandalorian. Granted, you could still see quite a number of characters in the Mandalorian. Even Boba Fett, even though he’s dead. It would not be the first time they brought a character back from the dead, and I guess the common consensus is that he climbed out of the pit somehow, even though the Saarlac gave a good belch after swallowing him, that I thought for sure finished him off. Toxic gas.

A ton of kids in my sons school are complaining about no more baby yoda.

Teacher said it?s like an epidemic.

Great job Disney.

Petition needs to be spun up for a shorty vid like Thor & Darryl. Like monthly get-ur-fix update vids. 5 minutes of Mando dealing with the very real logistical problems of dealing with a Force-powerful toddler who doesn't want his nap. Another 5 minutes of Moff having to hike all the way back to town while the Jawas snicker and THEN go back to stripping the Tie fighter. 5 minutes of Cara pounding the cr@p out of someone in town who made the mistake of patting her @ss and asking her if she wanted a good time.

Cut back to 5 minutes of Mando telling Baby to stop floating stuff all over the ship. Exhausted Mando finally breaking down, joining Amazon Prime, and picking up his order at the Cato Nemoidia dropbox of: new cradle with timed rocking motion and lighted rotating star patterns, 2 child safe sippee cups, stuffed plushy frog nap mat, the single-serve 24 count variety pack of cereal, the set of Damascus steel throwing knives, and the universal gun cleaning kit.:monkey3

I just wany my damn plastic dollies from Hot Toys for this show, *** .

Yeah, got a bit of fix with the Mando and Cara Funkos, but it's just not the same. Apparently tho Mando with rifle #326 is sold out or something, selling for like 40$ +, so it was a sound investment. I'm gonna be rich.

It was an expensive 8 episode season. It's gonna take a year to make more.

We used to wait three years between SW sequels, and then decades for the next trilogy. Jesus, tell these little impatient kids to just rewatch the episodes they have. He's in just about every scene.

Jeez. Damn kids these days and their constant demand for NOW NOW NOW NOW.

They could create a new series - Baby Yoda: The First 50 Years.

Episode 1: Newborn on a Sea Cow

Hush you I want more......I mean the kids want more baby yoda!

That's exactly what I was thinking, lol. Did their parents all jump out of their chairs to cancel Disney+ the second they finished watching the eighth episode, lol.

I got 3 years for free from my Disney + engineering employee sister

In a fit of rage, Mando goes on a killing spree upon hearing his order was destroyed when a local faction's militia mistook the Amazon delivery drone for an enemy missile...

But, in a remarkable example of either stunning compassion or outright hypocrisy, the entirety of cyberspace instantly nodded at Din D'jaren in sympathy. "Like, it's TOTALLY what I would have done" gushed Rey Skywalker, sipping a cocktail from her plush Disney villa in Haruun Kal.

"I mean, u can talk to me about BB-8 and that droid that looks like a blow dryer, but at the end of the day, it's all about the EYES, in't it? Baby Yoda was sad without his froggy mat. U gotta do what u gotta do like I did Kylo. If only my gross Granpap had threatened Baby Yoda, the universe would have risen as one in-the-movie-that-shall-not-be-named and I could've gotten more face time with Luke friggin' Skywalker, instead of spending the rest of my life feelin' like a poser with no cred.

Srsly the only reason all those ships finally showed up was to get the whole thing over with quicker, so they could get back to their couches and the Mandalorian finale.":monkey3

Finally saw all of the eps in full resolution - such a 50/50 mixed bag.

Some of the best SW since the OT along with half the eps with bad TV actors and bad TV stories that are weak. I absolutely loved the first two eps and the second last ep (where Ugnolte dies.) Such a feeling of OT mood, menace and mystery, great visuals, great pacing and scene work. Ugnolte really emerged as a great chaarcter.

The rest - some were hard to sit through, even though they had a few fun parts (like the cantina in the otherwise meh gunslinger ep.) Thought the last ep/finale was really kinda weak, especially after the brilliant second last ep, though I loved seeing IG brought back and in action.

The bad eps were fun in a way as they reminded me of 1970s/80s genre show eps - not sure what characteristic made them feel that way, maybe the feeling they were conceived as mid-season filler ("what can Mando get up to now?"), the sense of him doing jobs over and over without much motivation beyond cash for the conveniently broken-again ship like the Falcon. That ep with the ATST and the one with the prison ship break-in jumps out as A-team meets a lesser vintage Trek ep.

Though Esposito was strong and Carl Weathers was good in the early going (though he was way overused toward the end and started to show his limitations as an actor) I thought Gina Carano was so Xena weak - like low-end TV - and she was in the show too much. Not a great character played by a pretty weak actress. Herzog was brilliant - hope his character's not dead.

And we now all know that scout troopers are incoming from HT very soon. And best of all - no difference between Mando troopers and OT troopers.:yess:

Pretty accurate and fair assessment.

For some maybe. Don't agree. For me this series makes my head explode with joy. Just thinking about Favreau and Filoni somewhere out there, toiling away on Season 2, gives me the warm fuzzies. And all the directions Season 2 could take.

I will say the fun fan service aspect has been incredible - the geek in me loved stuff like how the TIE landed with the split wings, and the Dewback and Kenner-style Imperial Troop Transporter was SO cool. And the e-web is certainly getting a workout in Mando.

Some might agree. Some won't. Some might be somewhere between agreeing... and not agreeing.:monkey3:rotfl

For me, this opinion makes my opinion explode with joy - for opinions.

And for the record - I can't wait for season 2 either because - er, as I said - I absolutely loved about half of season 1.

While I thought the finale was better than TROS.

Jye, if you will....

Can we take that as... a compliment?:lol

There was definitely no My Little Pony charge along the hull of a spacecraft. I'll take a Mando battle with a TIE over that any day.

Awesome. I love that there were western themes to this, and I wouldn't be surprised if it were influenced by the Man with No Name.

While I thought the finale was better than TROS.
I thought that movie was pretty damn mediocre, just in the sense that there was too damn much going on, and it gave me a headache just trying to process everything. Not my idea of a good time. I felt the ending was serviceable, all things considered. But not particularly good. Mando sets up a season 2 obviously, and was pretty effective at it. But I wouldn't be upset if this were one and done before Disney gets a chance to turn it bad. Given the hype over Yoda, it will probably be Baby Yoda: The Series, with special guest co-star Mandolorian.
