Holy crap Sass is going broke lol

They got the ear movement perfect but shame he does not fall back onto his little butt like on the show when he gets exhausted.

Umm, d@mmit, now I can't get this out of my head:

Esp. the BURN.

Or Blade Runner. Or Chucky.

Might cave for the Lego Razor Crest tho.

Probably the milking is inevitable but the idea of Mando and Child being Disney greeters makes me throw up a little in my mouth. They wouldn't do that to Boba.

Holy ****, the real time digitally projected 3D sets were in constant view of the actors, no more acting to a green screen. When Pedro looks out the window of the Razor Crest he actually sees space. :thud:

I can never get enough of these behind the scenes tech docus. There are a couple of others which explain it more.

If I had my time again, was artistic I'd totally be into this as a job.

That's crazy how they do those background scenes... Reminds me of when Lucas was doing all his films he was always pushing and breaking ground on new technologies, something Kennedy didn't do much of with the 5 movies she made... But it looks like Jon Favreau is picking up where Lucas left off... The thing I love about that new technology is it looks real unlike a lot of green screens... A lot of the green screens you can tell that the live actor is superimposed over the fake background. This new tech will definatly make TV shows look a lot better (at least those that use a lot of green screens)

New technology breakthroughs and innovations have always been at the heart of Star Wars. There is no denying the first film have audiences something they never experienced before. The sequels gave us the first completely digital movie - something that is just the norm now. The Sequels gave us... a better appreciation of the prequels? It’s clear the last trilogy was missing that push of new limits the others had. Mando is thankfully doing that again. I really can’t quite tell when baby Yoda is a puppet, cgi, or some combination of the two. I just see that cute little critter as a living being- something I didn’t expect a film, let alone a tv show, to be able to do to me in this age of limitless creation with that sense of life.

I agree with what you?re saying about LF advancing tech and baby Yoda truly is a remarkable achievement it better be for a $5 million dollar puppet the size of my forearm I wonder if Jim Henson studios built him or Stan Winston Legacy studios or was it created all in house at Disney.

Anyways I don?t agree with you that the ST has given a better appreciation of the PT because one bad product does not make another bad product all of a sudden great however with that being said I am thrilled at the prospect of new Star Wars upgrading certain elements from the PT with quality writing hence why I can FINALLY take battle droid seriously after 21 years of them being used for comical fodder.

That?s not making the PT great that is making PT elements great in another capacity 20 years after the fact.

20 years sheesh

It is hard to believe that matrix and Phantom Menace hit 20 years last year. I do appreciate aspect of the new trilogy but I do prefer the prequel trilogy but nothing will ever take the lead from the original trilogy for me. I am 45 and grew up with that trilogy as my bread and butter so it is ingrained in me. I like a lot of the designs of the prequel trilogy but I wonder what would have been different if Lucas had written the stories and other directors had done the movies. I know he asked some to do it but they all refused. At least with the prequels they weren't just rehashes of the original trilogy. I like Palpatine but I get a bad taste watching The Semi Erection of Skywalker blaming him for everything. Last minute changes like that make no sense. I would have been fine with it if it was the original plan and had been built up to it. Pacing was very brisk and character's were wasted. I still love the brand but really only 4 movies are good to great overall.

Legacy made The Child, that's why our 1:1 was made in collaboration with Legacy.

There was that great video that guy did two years before TROS came out where he presented all that evidence that Rey appeared to be a Palpatine going back to TFA with her being the only person to do that lightsaber thrust thing other than Palpatine and how bloodthirsty she looked when approaching fallen Kylo on Starkiller Base. I think he even called out how Rey's theme was just a slight variation of Palpatine's theme too.

I might have to watch that but it still was never part of the plan. Why else make snoke. I get deception and the like but snoke wasn’t even utilized well. I think Rey fighting as you described was just the way daisy acted based off of everything she saw prior. Otherwise her Qui Gon hair could mean more as well. Maybe she is really the love child of Kenobi and Jinn

Here it is. Pretty cool theorizing for two years ago.

Sure she wasn't planned that way from the beginning but neither was Vader being Anakin or Leia being a Skywalker so I'm fine with them capitalizing on convenient hints that she was a Palpatine all along.

No problem! And yep agreed, I loved TFA but ended up going back and forth on TLJ but then TROS stuck the landing and made the while trilogy fall into place for me.

I just hate the wasted last jedi movie. Snoke is killed and the set up seems like Kylo might become the big bad but he still gets to play second fiddle to Palpatine. The fact that it wasn't really the plan makes me think back to the Spider-Man clone saga in the 90's comics where they blame the green goblin for everything and bring back Norman Osbourne to try to appease the fans. I don't hate the sequel trilogy by any means but won't really watch it much if at all again. I love Rogue One and I enjoy Solo and of course The Mandalorian. I am glad people did enjoy the sequel trilogy but me not so much after the Force Awakens. At least we agree on Avenger's End Game. :duff

I feel the opposite of most. The force awakens is a wash and regurgitation of non essential proportions. Did I like everything that happened in Last Jedi, of course not, but at least in that movie something happened even if I didnt like it (the despecialized version fixed this). It's the fact that the first two were flaming piles that guaranteed that Rise of Skywalker would only be semi watchable. I think for a retcon of sorts and all the over cramming and dealing with Disney forcing to put in stupid they can fly now **** that they did a decent job managing the **** show. Sadly we have to put up with it. Onto the whining now. Queue the High Republic...

Well for me the ST is done and dusted, no need to waste another breath on it.

Mandalorian Season 2 is what it's all about. But no-one seems to be interested on talking about that here in the Mandalorian thread.....

Well, u have kind of an end to an era (maybe). Then Iger decides to step down at Disney (weird). And Favreau rightfully IMO seems to be keeping Mando Season 2 details close to the vest, maybe more so coz who knew the show would apparently become the single shining hope in a wasteland of &%$# ups and delays.

But, there is hope e.g. Giancarlo recent comments at a con talking about "breaking 3 prop Darksabers" which suggests IMO we'll get some badassery. More importantly IMO is his enthusiasm. Coz happy actors to me say they are happy and proud of what they are doing, always a good sign.

Personally patiently waiting on upcoming Mando trailer, and deciding what to purchase from what will be a sea of collectibles, probably.
