Wasn't there a "High Republic" series announced as well? Or is that old news?

They announced it a couple days ago but meh. TROS pretty much wraps up the Saga for me other than Mando. The new Clone Wars also debuted but I don't think anyone really cares about that either.

MCU = IM to EG.

SW = ANH to TROS.

For me I am adding not just FFH but also BW movie especially BW because it takes place before EG!

So FFH kind of gets trapped in there anyways.

So IM1-BW

I should be good with that lol

But yeah cinematic SW I am 100% done UNLESS a new movie set in the OT era is made then i?ll be there opening night ready to call it better than Sonic before it even starts.

Well, u have kind of an end to an era (maybe). Then Iger decides to step down at Disney (weird). And Favreau rightfully IMO seems to be keeping Mando Season 2 details close to the vest, maybe more so coz who knew the show would apparently become the single shining hope in a wasteland of &%$# ups and delays.

But, there is hope e.g. Giancarlo recent comments at a con talking about "breaking 3 prop Darksabers" which suggests IMO we'll get some badassery. More importantly IMO is his enthusiasm. Coz happy actors to me say they are happy and proud of what they are doing, always a good sign.

Personally patiently waiting on upcoming Mando trailer, and deciding what to purchase from what will be a sea of collectibles, probably.

I was at that particular con in Vancouver 2 weeks ago...and yes I think it's safe to say he was very stoked to be part of the upcoming episodes of the Mandalorian. he was also waxing poetically about "baby Yoda" (hmmm as slip perhaps...he corrected himself and said the "Child.")

Envy! Waz hoping to catch some of the cast at a con this year - but along came a virus and cancellations with it. Anyway, always like to see enthusiastic happy cast. Gina Carano is another one who is really taken with it it all. Luv this woman and her character.

Season 2 has wrapped filming (at least with Gina) so back to patiently waiting for first teaser of any kind, and paying off MCU stuff so I can afford the Heavy Gunner HT.:monkey3

I had no freaking clue Robert Rodriguez is directing a S2 episode wtf lol

LOL it'll be like the MCU - ur no-one in Hollywood if u don't direct or guest star in Mando at some point:cool:. Favreau will be like Thanos on Throne grinning and sorting the guest list. Sounds like it's too late if u didn't make the cut this year. They probably have Baby Yoda do the hand flick at the rejects:monkey3

On the other hand:

Talking to WWD at Paris Fashion Week, Kathleen Kennedy revealed that she has been in London working on the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars show, the as yet untitled ‘Cassian Andor’ series.

“I’VE NEVER BEEN TO A FASHION SHOW — EVER,” SHE LAUGHED. “SO WHEN STELLA SAID ‘WHY DON’T YOU COME?’ I SAID ‘OK!’ I WAS GOING TO BE IN LONDON SO I JUST JUMPED ON THE TRAIN AND CAME OVER,” SHE SAID. AT LEAST SHE KNEW ONE PERSON AT THE SHOW, SHE ADDED, POINTING OUT “STAR WARS” ACTRESS NAOMI ACKIE ACROSS THE RUNWAY.

THE PRODUCER IS LAUNCHING THE NEW TV SHOW “CASSIAN ANDOR,” AND WILL WORK ON “THE MANDELORIAN” AFTER THAT, SHE NOTED, TICKING OFF HER LATEST “STAR WARS” PROJECTS.

Dunno what "work" she'd be doing except causing problems. Seein' as Cassian is also delayed for script re-writes. https://screenrant.com/star-wars-cassian-andor-show-script-rewrites-filming/

Has anyone else heard that Disney wanted to retcon baby Yoda into the actual Yoda but Johny Faves fought them in it?

Yeah. Yoda reborn and that kind of *&^%. After the Palps thing - which I thought was lame - can only hope if it were in any way true Favreau gave KK "a look". Disney execs need to stay far away. Just sign the checks.

Everything else the execs do just smells like desperation/pandering/no original ideas. They need to leave F & F alone and fix the Obi-wan mess. That one is a real shame.

Can't freaking wait. More excited for Season 2 than any upcoming film.

Yeah, I was so happy when my Funko Mando & Blurg showed up in mail. 'Coz it's SYMBOLIC of HOPE. Like the Mandolorian series isn't just a dream or the result of something I ingested or a hallucination from stress or sleep deprivation, but a shining cosmic light in the dark; a RELIGION where I can't wait to donate to the high priests of Hot Toys if only 1) make it diecast! and 2) get the sculpts right for *&^% sake.

Srsly tho in the past like with world wars people really needed some relief from the stress, so IMO shows and movies are important right now. Just as well collectibles will be delayed we are going to have to pass the hat for my bro who will get nailed from business closings etc.

What's actually the latest on the Obi Wan situation ? Will it still be a Disney+ show or a movie again ?

Last I'd heard they had all but started, and KK decided the script wasn't good enough. Too similar to The Mandalorian storyline or something. Geez she's paying close attention over there......

It literally can't be Yoda reborn because the ghost of his 900 year old self will be appearing on Ahch-To just 25 years later. Or are they saying he's just a regular clone of the original Yoda and therefore a "new" person?

Nothing has changed far as I know. Thought the Cassian series was due to start filming but everything has gone to *&^ with all the hotel closings, etc. and social distancing. Hopefully Mando had wound up most filming and they are just doing edits and CGI at this point. I can't think that would involve a huge crowd like actual filming.

Probably a clone I guess. They need to stahp if this is true. One of the best things about the series is brand new characters.

Yep Mando 2 has finished principle photography, so only special effects and editing. I guess that can be done in isolation for the most part. I can't expect there will be any big delays there.

As far as Cassian. This was from a report from yesterday, going on an interview with Diego some weeks ago I believe,

"When is the Cassian Andor/K-2SO series coming to Disney+?
Currently unknown, though it’s set to begin filming in London in 2020. Speaking with ET, Luna confirmed filming is set to begin this year. “Yes, we are doing it. We are doing it this year,” he said. “It’s happening, and I’m getting ready for it.”

After going through some last-minute script rewrites in February, the series is reportedly set to begin filming in June 2020.

Given these timings, it seems likely the series will debut some time in 2021."

So also shouldn't be any delay with some luck !

https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/marvel-disney-plus-shut-down-production-coronavirus-falcon-and-winter-soldier-loki-wandavision-1203534604/

Marvel Studios is pressing pause on its Disney Plus shows currently in production, which includes “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” “Loki” and “WandaVision.”

For shows that are in pre-production, work will continue remotely.

“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” was one of the first to delay production earlier in the week due to the shoot being in Eastern Europe. Following the sweeping production halts, Disney Plus is now doing the same for its remaining Marvel shows in production.

The news comes after Disney suspended production on all of its live-action films, including the Marvel film “Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings.”

Other Disney films with halted production and pre-production include “The Last Duel,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Home Alone,” “Nightmare Alley,” “Peter Pan & Wendy” and “Shrunk.”

I just hope when production resumes they don't rush it. That way leads to the Dark Side.
