I never liked her character either. This feels like hamfisted fan appeasement.

Oh, more than that. This article has Clone War series SPOILERS if u read the whole thing https://www.slashfilm.com/rosario-dawson-ahsoka-mandalorian/. Anyway:

Going deeper down the well of speculation: last month during the Walt Disney Company?s Fiscal First Quarter 2020 Financial Results Conference Call, then-CEO Bob Iger mentioned that ?The Mandalorian season 2 coming in October, and then more coming from The Mandalorian thereafter, including the possibility of ? infusing it with more characters and the possibility of taking those characters in their own direction in terms of series.?

Just don't want the Mandalorian series hijacked as a commercial which I thought was a problem with Infinity Wars. And overcrowding characters in Mando IMO is fatal e.g. bad writing.

Also hope it's not an excuse to have another female-kicks-everyone's-ass and is just "more" than everyone. E.g. say there was a clash between Mando and Ahsoka. So far IMO the treatment of the characters whether male or female has been terrific. Ahsoka definitely isn't a Mary Sue but this series is about Din D'jarin, Baby, and friends. Doesn't need to get torpedoed with political correctness. But they've finished filming so it is what is.:panic:

Anybody watching the new CW season on D+

How is it

It is amazing and with better animation. There is a scene with Anakin/Padme that is better than a lot of there scenes in AOTC. Funny. Great voice acting from Baker. We see a hint of Anakin?s turn.

Also...

a scene where we somewhat get confirmation that Obi-Wan knows about Anakin/Padme

Worst thing about it is the week long wait for each episode. I?m enjoying it as much as I did the Mandalorian.

Look on the bright side at least live action Ahsoka will have a nice rack, thicc rump and a mouth that can swallow an anaconda.

Now that they just confirmed Robert Rodriquez as well I wonder if he'll be directing Dawson's episode or even had a hand in her casting. He's worked with her before and they do pretty well together. She still won't be fully canon since live-action Ashoka was already voiced by Ashley Eckstein in TROS. Maybe Dawson will turn out to be the daughter of Ahsoka's non-identical clone, lol.

What % of Mando audience would notice? I've only seen TROS once so far. The only voice I really remember from that scene is Luke, because Mark Hamill voice.
I'll watch TROS again when it shows up on D+, mostly to get a handle on everything that was going on.

Will she be Rosario in makeup or will she voice a CGI made character :dunno

Hopefully they use body paint as well as prosthetics. Don't want to be "that guy", but it would really annoy me if Rosario stays her natural color.

This is a well established character with a huge fan base. Who is an Orange Twi'lek alien. And represented as such in hundreds of episodes between The Clone Wars, Rebels and in novels and comics all considered canon. Not white, black, brown or whatever color Disney wants represented.

Please let her be orange...:(

I can't imagine Rosario even suggesting it, what with the long line of "colorful" characters preceding her in film like Gamora, Nebula, Minn-Erva, Mystique and Jaylah (just to name a few). All the actresses involved had their bodies and/or faces painted for the role, regardless of their natural skin color. To imply that RD and/or Disney would not go that route this time for the sake of "representation" simply doesn't track.
