In the UK we have finally been permitted by the Disney machine to be able to watch up to episode 7 of the Mandalorian and I am absolutely loving it. This show perfectly captures the look and feel of the 'scum and villiany' side of the OT. It's that lovely blend of spaghetti western / lone samurai warrior ronin type story wrapped up in a dirty tired looking sci-fi worldscape that we knew characters like Han, Chewie, Jabba and Boba Fett inhabited. I've been desperate to see exactly this since I was kid. I can't wait for episode 8 on Friday. Would you look at that I'm liking Star Wars again (the ST is still 'legends' though) thank you Favreau and baby yoda.

Glad you like The Mandolarian. Favreau crafted a great story and a likable protagonist. "Yodel" steals the show though. Great cast and I can't wait to see what is in store next season.

Spoiler alert Episode 8 reveals the Prophecy of the Dyad. :yess:

Hahaha! If that happens you will find me sitting with The Ducky writing our lists of the 10 things we hate most about the ST (after they see it on May the 4th - coincidentally will be getting my second viewing in for TROS then as well).

Yeah I agree. It's about the only thing which SW fans universally like at the moment. Although don't know how anyone could not like that last episode of the Clone Wars.

But yeah bring on Season 2 and 3 !!

Yeh absolutely. Can't wait for the next season. The whole aesthetic is just perfect. I wonder if old man Boba will ever eventually feature in the story.

Congrats if u have been able to avoid spoilers etc. For me it made me appreciate SW more than I had, retroactively, which has been very cool. Hope globally all can watch the Gallery.

Ditto tho for me was kind've a bummer e.g. ST rewatches - like for a good while I liked a lot of TLJ. Then one night I was rewatching and thought "yah know, there's some nice visuals but this movie is kinda bad. Or something." TROS only saw once in theater and IMO some stuff is hilarious like the Sith knife thing and Rey being able to surf waves that would sink an oil tanker (it's like that James Bond surfing scene).

But I'll rewatch TROS anyway.

I have always liked the Clone Wars cartoons for the most part. The last couple of episodes have been fantastic. Good seeing Darth Maul put to good use in the end of the show. I just wish since this season was short that they hadn't focused on the sisters in the previous episodes. Asoka being brought back in could have been a different way. So much happens in so little time. The Duel was epic and cool to find out that is was motion capture of Ray Park.

:lol :lol

KK: "I have a suggestion. Well, it's actually more like a question..."

Favreau: "Well, it appears we haven't properly housebroken Ms. Kennedy yet. But on the plus column, she makes one hell of a cup of coffee."

*everyone laughs*

:lol I understood that reference.

I hope she doesn't have 9 lives because if she does the damage is far from over.

:lol So did punisher1974

Yeah, you can really see that in the movements and choreography. Definitely not just from some animators imagination.

Pedro Pascal's Yahoo interview UK. LOL trying to get spoilers. Pedro rocks.

This was airing at the same time as the final Star Wars film came out, so you had a month of Star Wars madness. What was it like to be in the midst of that, for good and for bad?

We were shooting the second season when the latest Star Wars film came out. I was lucky enough to get to go to the premiere in Los Angeles and a dear friend of mine has been in all three of those movies. Really, it just feels like being a part of a big family. We?re sort of the youngest child in this large family, discovering and carving a way out in the world. There?s so much for us to learn.

When that Star Wars craziness was happening, there was your show getting this great reaction on one side and The Rise of Skywalker getting a more divided reaction. What was it like to be on one side of that fence?

I didn?t feel that at all. The virtue of being neck deep in work. Once you?re in this world of Lucasfilm, you?re only touching on the positive. You just deposit something. I saw no fence.

You mentioned that you were working on the second season last year. Where are you with that now and what can fans expect?

They can expect me to not talk about it at all. Only so they can experience the second season in the same way they experienced the first ? that sort of awe and surprise. It?s pretty wonderful.

Is there a surprise of the magnitude of Baby Yoda on the way?

I don?t want to say anything. I don?t even want to prepare you for surprises that may or may not be there. Let yourself be as empty a canvas as possible to just experience it.

:goodpost: Same, it's a fantastic show and I love it!! :)

Whoa, they were filming Season 2 as far back as last December? Let's see a trailer then!! (Hopefully on May the 4th...)

I hope we get a season 2 trailer then but I could see them dropping at the end of the Mandolalorian behind the scenes series too. I hope not though.

It would be dumb not to release it on May 4.

Nah, they're already giving us a bit of unreleased Season 1 stuff. If it were me June-August (or so) I'd let stuff trickle out - then late summer release the big trailer.:drool
Even this documentary is one piece at a time - what, 6-8 segments? Right in time for people like me who bought a year of Disney+ to fall over themselves renewing their subscription

Edit: This is the Way.:clap

SPOILER link Mandalorian Gallery early comments/reviews are coming out.

This link talks a little about first two shows.

Apparently
KK is in the second show; stuffing her face into something she had nothing to do with
except 1) sign the checks and 2) pathetically cry into John Favreau's boots because
someone who knows what they are doing through her a lifeline:pfft:
SPOILER link (tho nothing earthshaking)
