The recent comments Favreau has made about his approach to Star Wars and fans has me optimistic that season two will be very good...

Very hyped for season 2!

As am I BUT you know what will be my eventual problem with Mando.

It is episodic and will be lengthy.

2-3 hour movies are remembered and rewatched forever.

Look at Netflix DD amazing 3 seasons yet I will never revisit those 3 seasons yet a classic movie I will watch all the time even crappy B ones lol

Of all the amazing tv shows that have existed I never revisit them because they don?t work in bite size they are ultimately not fulfilling in small increments.

Sure tv shows are good while they are happening but the longer they go the more they will lose their appeal.

Mando will be no different.

This is the way.

There are a lot of TV shows I rewatch after a period of time. Lots. Personally i would rather watch a show i enjoy multiple times rather than something new that I have no interest in. Over the last 2-3 years there has been a serious lack of content coming out that I care to even watch once, that goes for movies and TV.

I revisit show I love every now and then. I just went through all the seasons of Justified. One of my favorites. I do watch movies more often because of what JYE said but I go through and watch shows I like to. I will revisit Mando the same way if I like the upcoming seasons like I enjoyed the first one. Daredevil I will watch again soon but I wish the last season was put on disc. I have spoken.

I often find that watching an entire movie is too long of a time commitment. I still watch them occasionally of course but I usually have a TV series going that I can watch in shorter increments when there is otherwise too much going on.

If a 2 hour movie is too long good luck with watching 10 years of Mando lol

I can't remember the last time I sat through an entire Star Wars film; most of them I've seen so many times I'll just re-visit favourite scenes or action set-pieces.

I'll let years pass but re-watch a superhero film...television shows...I can't think of any I've re-watched. Not one. But with something like The Mandalorian I imagine I'll eventually re-visit action scenes I love, or even that amazing mostly silent episode. They're all so short anyway, it's not a big commitment to re-watch one.

Yep to both of these posts. TV is great for that weekly fix of "something new" but once it's no longer new I just go back to revisiting movies instead. That's just how it is.

With the show's format for me it's like GOT - a movie broken up. I usually rewatch 1-4; then 5-8.

There are films I wander off on in some parts. Luv home viewing. It's not like regular TV broken up by commercials. U absolutely can't watch #7 without #8.

For me it's kinda like GOT where u can binge watch, except am so bitter about GOT doubt I will ever watch any of it again.:monkey4

Yup I never ask myself...

Hmm should I watch Die Hard or 4 episodes of Magnum PI tonight.

BUT Sass just brought up an even more critical component that I neglected to mention!

One bad season of GOT ruined ALL of GOT for him!

Another reason why lengthy tv seasons are far inferior to a movie.

All tv shows eventually run into a very bad season.

Remember when The Fonz bought Al?s Diner or jumped over a shark lol

Yep so true, movies allow for that all-important compartmentalization. Nobody says "I'm a diehard GoT fan but Seasons 5 and 8 aren't canon to me," lol. If a sequential TV series ever screws the pooch it taints the whole thing.

BUT am optimistic about F & F. Both know how to write, tell a story, and Favreau went into it with a whole arc.

GOT was such *&^-up. The thing to do would have been to bring in kick-ass writers as trouble shooters.

I can watch all of Clone Wars and Rebels in chunks, and would welcome a Rebels follow-up. So I have some faith, as long
as Disney butts out and lets F & F do their thing. Disney needs to worry about the Obi-wan series which supposedly is
going back into production soon.

Meanwhile - for what it's worth:

Bummer if true.

I guess that ultimately means that TROS > Mando

Weird. I rewatch TV all the time. Leave It To Beaver. Star Trek. Doctor Who. Northern Exposure. :dunno

:lol:lol:lol

Nah for me anyway thanx to the ST writing FAILS its almost like the ST - esp. the overloaded bubble gum TROS - was a TV movie and the Mandalorian has the depth and visual impact of a great theater film.

Just proves less can be more. Look, I got more tensed up from Clone Wars and Rebels than TROS. I should rewatch those:lsvader
