Yea I will be a first adopter for sure.

Being a Disniphile, its a slam dunk anyway.

Add the SW content? No contest.

Star Wars live action series-Jon Favreau's THE MANDALORIAN

This does look like it could be good.

Pedro pascal is an awesome actor. I saw that Dust film “Prospect”. He was great in that and GOT.

Sci-fi Phantasy seems to be a genre he fits really well in.

TROS looks like it could be course-correcting not only TFA/TLJ but also ROTJ (and hell maybe even the PT.) Of course it might not pan out but no way will I deny myself the pre-Episode hype of a major trilogy entry one last time. :)

You know this is crazy talk :lol

Besides how will it fix ROTJ.. I mean other then ROTJ being a kind of messy film.. What's to fix?? I was satisfied with Luke and Vader's ending and the Emperor got a good death.. I worry about the resurrection of him ruining ROTJ even more like the ST has already done..

Or maybe you have other ideas?? I don't know.. Fixing all the issues of the ST, PT and ROTJ in a two hour directed JJ Abrams film?? Cant be done.

Perhaps I need to start looking in the TROS thread??

Oh man I just watched the full leaked Mandalorian footage. Dual wielding IG-88 looks freaking GREAT! So glad that he's still a clunky puppet and not CGI. :yess:

:lol

IG-88 was my fav part also.. I couldn't tell he was a clunky puppet.. I just loved seeing him in action.

Oh it probably won't fix ROTJ for you but for me I've been bothered about the way ROTJ wrapped everything up after learning that Palps was supposed to survive and not be fully defeated until Episode IX by Luke and the "other" (not Leia.) That is until Lucas decided he didn't want to make anymore SW films in the 80's and just had the story end with Episode VI.

But now it's looking like TROS will give us that extended journey to eradicate Palpatine and if they also say on screen that Yoda was looking into the future and calling out Rey as the "other" then that will just be freaking icing on the cake for me.

And one of my biggest problems with the ST has been the regurgitation of the Empire for seemingly no reason. Well if Palpatine was puppeteering Snoke as another glorified Nute Gunray in order to resurrect his precious planet killers and Star Destroyers then that will finally settle that issue for me. And then if they go that far then I figure it's a short trip to just throw in a cool Hayden Christensen moment, have Qui Gon's ghost appear at the end with Luke and Yoda and just reconcile the whole damn Saga, lol.

Now do I expect all that, no. Has SW disappointed before, of course. But eh right now I'm just going to kick back and see if they somehow hit a grand slam with bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th. ;)

If they wrap it all up by finding Jar Jar in Boss Nass' seat, then I can sleep at night.

Boy, I hope the movie ends with that Broom Boy gazing at the camera and asking: Are you an angel?

The footage made me think that he was probably an elaborate rod puppet with the puppeteers digitally removed like TPM 3PO which IMO is absolutely the perfect way for them to realize IG-88 on screen.

Lol, I think at one point (can't remember if this was a Lucas thing or a JJ thing) the Saga was going to end with aliens coming to Earth and handing a young George Lucas the Journal of the Whills.

Just saw the full leaked footage.

Holy ****!!

Guess I’ll be collecting SW again. I’ve got only one piece as it sits now.

Re: Star Wars live action series-Jon Favreau's THE MANDALORIAN

Ever notice how Anakin was this genius child who could build robots and pod race better than anyone?

Then he grew up and didn't build anything, just whined a lot. Like, you'd think Anakin would have this excellent souped-up speeder. Or an apartment that looked like a garage where he was constantly tinkering. Or something that harkened back to that little boy. But no....

Re: Star Wars live action series-Jon Favreau's THE MANDALORIAN

Nor did Anakin ever seem to care about freeing slaves, visiting all the planets, etc. AOTC/ROTS really do exist in their own little bubble apart from all that came before and after.
