The child is the part for the regular people. They will tire of his antics eventually and that?s where the series will drop in ratings.

Especially if the rest of the show has become only about the Child.

I am sure the producers are loving having a non human as the star of the show, plus the only human a guy in a mask.

Cheap and easy contract negotiations.

So "The" Mandalorian isn't actually Mandalorian? Typical of SW I guess, most main characters are adopted.

Is it just me, or is most of the pre-S2 hype about The Child rather than the actual Mandalorian? Think that's why I've never really got into it.

Did you watch the show? Mandalorian isn't a race, never has been. I could move to America and become an American citizen, making me an American.

For myself - one of my top fascinations IS with the Mandalorian - e.g. the dynamic of this hardened bounty hunter basically chucking out everything to protect this Child. So Season 2,3, for me is wanting the STORY.

In theory Din D'jarin is just another battered bounty hunter, tho maybe one of the better ones. U could argue it's his own foundling background that moves him to protect the child, but really to me it came off like a split second decision. He's real close to walking away at one point.

(Always liked dynamics like that. When a character - maybe for no real reason - rises above. Like the end of Mad Max Thunderdome when Auntie walks away instead of killing.)

Plus Din D'jarin is interesting, not one dimensional. He's got an actual journey, of sorts, I suspect, mentally. For one thing probably coming to see an enemy (Jedi) as a possible ally, if not friend. He also has a sense of humor and there's that "everyman" Bruce Willis vibe - just plowing through all this *&^%. Like that Jawa situation.:lol Another breath of fresh air; character isn't some over powered super-human.

E.g. if this show simply revolved around a clever cute character bouncing from situation to situation, doubt I would be that interested. But the Child is another anomaly - innocent/toddler but inherently powerful. Finally there's the other characters and dynamics - Cara Dune IMO is a breath of fresh air - and editing and the way this is filmed - not sure how to put that. Editing, lighting, sound, costumes, sets, music. There's some 'friggin beautiful moments like the Mando reaching into the pram scene, and the helmet reflecting fire, and those "desert" shots. Also the scruffier side of Star Wars - tired dirty towns and settings; looks like Season 2 will have a shipping dock - e.g. grunge. Highlighting characters like Jawas and Sandpeople (the Jawas crack me up:lol). Season 2 already has those shots like the scouts/speeders:clap

As for Baby - dunno what I was expecting when that blanket was pulled down; maybe a human kid if anything, but hafta say my jaw dropped. Never would have though of Yoda-species baby. But yeah - friggin' cute. Even Baby force-choking someone is cute.

Edit: Spoiler: there's a new Twitter TV spot out https://twitter.com/disneyplus; guess I will be watching Monday night football. Or not, since it will be online within seconds after.:bunnydanc

I only caught the first few episodes. But I remember the first mention of Mandalore back in the old Marvel comics. Obviously that’s all been retconned to hell by now...

All new trailer tomorrow

Yep. Good choice. Usually Mondays suck. Tho I don't really need to see any more at this point.:horror Not that interested one way or other if other characters show up like Ahsoka, but know other folks are.

Loved how he transitioned from ground to air with the rocket pack super smooth super awesome.

Guess Din D'jarin got his practice in:cool:. Did he crash the Razor Crest into a giant ice spider nest? Reminds me of spiders on Atollon in Rebels.

Happy these trailers/teasers aren't showing too much.

It bugged me in TFA that they made the Falcon indestructible crashing into the snow.

Now they did that with the RC grrrr

Btw didn’t the CW show end with Ashoka on a snowy planet.

Hmmm

Space metal.

And kind of, it wasn't snowy when she was there and we know she leaves since we see her in Rebels, and Mando is long after both Clone Wars and Rebels.

Grace Randolf still trying to stir the pot and stick to her guns, and her evidence is because they didn't show any new footage she must be right :slap.

Expected. Nothing else she can do except play her hand out. It's too bad the bs got picked up and repeated:slap. Some journalist is probably gonna ask Favreau or Pascal about it eventually, and they will make some *diplomatic* response.

Instead of saying "Really? What a stupid *&^%."

But like Favreau and Filoni said, it's not their first rodeo. Never paid attention but sure there was all kinds of trash swirling when the ST was filming.

Dunno looks like he's fixing the RC. There's a dead baby spider sitting on it.

With a much larger one's legs draped over the hull.

One way of taking out a threat; just plow into it. Luv this show. Was actually happy to see an e-mail from Disney telling me my subscription would charge next month if I didn't cancel.

But they didn't raise the price, so that's something.

So if true this will (retroactively) be the spark that lights the fire that is the Holdo maneuver. :D
