I do admit it did make me smile to see Mando's near double take at how effortlessly Cobb caught up to him with the pod racer engine. Was that really from Anakin's pod? If so then okay it's a but much to have one random new character with *two* sets of relics from past main characters but I'll let it slide since it played out so well. :)

Cobb did look goofy in a number of shots (which is obviously what they were going for) but he is already one of the more likable characters on the show. A great start to the new season. Like others have said hopefully we see more of him which would be simple to do since Djarin knows that he can handle mando gear and I could see him returning to that town to ask for assistance if they have another "rally the troops" moment like from the end of season 1.

But even with Cobb's awkward proportions I just don't know that I'm ready to accept a Morrison Fett so seeing anybody other than him in that armor was an admittedly welcome sight, temporary as it might have been.

I’m still in shock that a non John Williams SW score is actually delivering the goods all everyone is talking about is the bump up in music quality from S1 to S2 and this was just from one episode lol

That prerecorded Mando theme orchestra performance during the prerecorded premiere was quite good.

Thankfully they cut out the scene where Cobb whips out Luke’s hand he has in a box then shows Mando his Naboo starfighter restoration project he’s working on.

Yes the music and visuals are off the charts. Even knowing that they film in that 360 projection sphere thing I still couldn't shake the belief that they really were out traversing the desert wastes of Tatooine.

Holy crap, lol. :lol

And also show Cobb selling Luke's saber to Maz and then have her say this will be a great story to share with someone in a safe and secure environment one day.

I'd like to think that engine just happened to be of the same design as those Anakin used for his pod. So a fan service nod to Episode 1 without being too ridiculously coincidental.

That was how I took it as well. A fun nod to TPM since they were I'm fact on a planet that was known for pod racing without being too outrageous.

Yes, Timothy Olyphant is awesome. A Cobb Vanth figure shot straight to the top of my wish list, but knowing HT we'll just get various versions of Mando & BY. Hopefully the fact that he's wearing Boba's armor (which they already have tooling for) means they might at least consider making him. Imagine he and Mando riding their speeders side by side in your display!

Agree completely, Olyphant is absolutely awesome. My ultimate HT dream is now to have Cobb Vanth, Kuiil, Cara Dune, Mando and Child on a shelf.

Later we'll learn that the Jawas dropped Cobb off at the Lars moisture farm, where he hid out and practiced with the jetpack....and used Uncle Owen's and Aunt Beru's grave markers for target practice.

:chase

I'm hoping you have a couple of weeks to get ready for it! I for one would love a grizzled, unmasked Morrison in that heavily weathered Fett armor. Standing on display, helmet under the arm would be quite a display...along with the other six Fetts I have! (you can probably see why I'm ready for it! :)

I'm glad they're keeping the goofy mechanic lady as a recurring character.

Yep. For me she was always 1) symbol of gritty working class ordinary people - one of the things I like about the show; like the graffiti. Which reminds me of our subway lines:cool:; and 2) the continuity. Plus Mando having a softened attitude towards droids was a nice touch.

Wasn't fazed about Mando not knowing who Boba Fett was or recognizing the armor - it's a big galaxy and seems like Mando's covert - and the Mandalorians in general - are pretty fragmented and secretive right now. Way out on the Outer Rim - he knows some stuff like the Hutts, but not the Force. Or even where other Mandalorians are.

Next up (hope): Michael Biehn:cool:

There are no words for how much I luv this series.

I really liked the graffiti (where are you that your subway lines are tagged up that hard?) -- as for the mechanic, I hated her in her first appearance, I can sort of deal with her now. Would have preferred the crew of the Nostromo in that setting, but they dead.

The funny part is that Mando eventually has to connect to the ST!

Should I remind Turd lol

Kennedy got overruled;)

See above lol

Yep remember true believers that the Razor Crest follows Lando to Exegol. :rock

If they're smart they'll bring in BDW to record some lines now of him broadcasting the call for help and then they can play it during the series finale 10 years from now even if BDW is no longer with us.

In a perfect world they would have set Mando a bit closer to the ST so that in TROS itself audiences could have lost their **** seeing Mando, Cara, Cobb, Mechanic Lady, etc., showing up to save the day instead of just Zori and Babu, lol.

I don't know what you're talking about.
