The funny part is that Mando eventually has to connect to the ST!

Mandalorian has become so popular and Disney depends so heavily on it's popularity now. Too risky to bring the garbage ST into the fold. Maybe all that "crazy" talk about retconning it out actually happens...

People initially said that Disney would never bring the PT into the fold either after TFA all but ignored its existence and yet here we are with PT references galore. In time as Mando progresses we will see connections to the ST. Oh yes, we will see. ;)

I really liked the graffiti (where are you that your subway lines are tagged up that hard?) -- as for the mechanic, I hated her in her first appearance, I can sort of deal with her now. Would have preferred the crew of the Nostromo in that setting, but they dead.

East coast. Not so much in the main stations, but along the rail tracklines there's stuff everywhere on building and bridge/tunnel sides. Sometimes I wonder who is walking miles along dark tracks at 3 in the morning, or hanging off building sides, with cans of spray paint. That's DEDICATION, that is:cool:. These days tho no way I'd get on any train without a Hazmat suit.:horror

Shame 'coz the whole extended family was big rail riders taking trains/subways everywhere, but that's all gone for now.:(

But the Mando graffiti made me smile. So did using the vibroblade.:devil

I don't know what you're talking about.

Thankfully it wasn't the Razor Crest after all...

Well we'll just have to wait and see which of us turns out to be right then. :)

To be clear I'm not saying ST will be completely retconned out of Star Wars for sure, but just maybe that could happen considering the state of the franchise. But I am pretty confident The Mandalorian will never be connected to the ST in an meaningful way.

Fortunately for you ST haters there probably won't be a lot of opportunities for them to connect to the ST (without a massive time jump if they really do want him to show up at Exegol.) Since the ST showed us that even the majority of the FO's high command was on the young side there won't be much overlap with regard to characters considering Rey, Kylo, Hux, Finn, and everyone for the most part have yet to even be born.

So we'll probably just see and hear things like lip service to Jakku or Takodana or rumors that groups of Stormtroopers have begun randomly kidnapping little kids or something.

It does bring up an interesting question, how many seasons of The Mandalorian do we think there will be? I'll set the over/under at 6...

I can't wait to see how Fett is going to fit into this. I'm really hoping for some kind of redemption arc where he needs to be worthy of the armor again and becomes an ally. Maybe years of isolation in the Dune Sea made him see things differently. Or he could just be a **** and try reclaiming his armor from Mando by force. :lol He might see claiming the bounty on the child as his big return to notoriety.

The interesting aspect of it is that Jango and Boba's status as Mandalorians is up in the air. Dave Filoni said that George Lucas told him that they aren't true Mandalorians. But the promo materials for the show referred to the Fetts as Mandalorians. I'm assuming the show will clarify the continuity.

My headcannon thus far is that Mando recognized the armor that Vanth was wearing, and understands that it's pretty much 'stolen valor' and is happy to reclaim it for the clan, but obviously Boba wants it back because he 'stole it fair and square'. It would re-establish Boba as an anti-hero, recognizing that he is a bounty hunter and a bad guy at that. He saw the 'good guys' murder his father and thus turned bad. Whereas Mando is a bounty hunter but a good guy. He saw the 'bad guys' murder his parents and was rescued by the 'good guys'.

But don't worry, I haven't thought it through, because I don't know where Gideon falls into any of this.

That would make for a great figure.

There is no bounty anymore, no? Mando and the Child were both cleared by the guild. Obviously Gideo still wants him so idk.

I hope their confrontation takes place in the vicinity of the Sarlaac Pit and Mando offs him as dismissively as Indy shooting that sword twirling guy in Raiders. :lol Then have Baby Yoda Force toss him back into the pit where he belongs. Let the past die. Kill it if you have to. This is the way. :lecture

But something tells me F & F have a slightly different plan for him. :rotfl

The ST haters are praying that the first 10 seasons of Mando takes place within a 6 month window lol

*Shrug* Maybe that was it for Fett; Fett fans got their fix and now spinoff, maybe. It's pretty clear Gideon is a major player this season.
