For a helmeted/masked character like this, why even announce the performer under the mask.

If I was in charge, I would make guys like Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, David Prose, Kenny Baker, Jeremy Bullock, etc. sign a contract where they get paid but dont receive credit for their roles (other than on the ending credits under all the stuntman and film crew of course). And if they get uppity and start telling people they were the character, you fire them and replace them with a new stunt man.

Hire a ****ing no name stunt man, put that costume on, do your ****ing job, go home and never ever let pics leak of said character without the mask on.

Makes even less sense for the digital CGI characters. Don’t even say who performed Jar Jar Binks, General Grievous and Maz Kanata.

Do we need to know Vin Diesel did the voice of Groot? Hell, do you need Vin Diesel to be the voice of Groot?! NOOOO.

They did not exactly say 4 episodes just that it will be 4 hours in length.

Thx. I haven?t seen that reported anywhere, which is weird bc you?d think media outlets would be all over it. Hopefully it?s longer, like the Mando, which is supposed to be 8 episodes.

I don't think that's a bad idea if true that Obi-Wan will only be 4 hours - 4 episodes. I'd much rather have that than when they draw out all these series with too much filler and exposition. We don't need any of that for Obi-Wan. He's been in 6 movies, countless Clone Wars episodes and even a few Rebels episodes. It could be more or less seen as a 4 hour movie. High production value and quality with a high budget. Thus shot over a shorter time period. They know people are vocal about wanting Ewan to return as Obi-Wan. And less risk associated with releasing an Obi-Wan movie in the theaters. They'd save a but load of money this way. And this will bring in many Disney+ subscribers. At least for 1 month anyway...

I think the Mandalorian looks fantastic. That trailer is cool as ****. Like others said, it has a RO feel, and I love me some Rogue One. Shows how much more a fan and admirer Favreau is to Lucas and the SW OT than that **** bag Rian Johnson. No way he was an honest fan with how he mangled the OT characters in TLJ, with or without being Kennedy's *****.

You hit the nail on the head JF literally just said he is honoring not just the OT but more specifically ANH and not just ANH but more specifically the first act of ANH.

He said he wants to combine ANH first act with Eastwood Man with No Name with Mad Max Road Warrior.

Jesus H are we in for a treat or what.

Love that shoot 'em up IG robot. It does feel a bit video game, but the whole vibe feels very classic SW.

This looks like one of those fan films you would see on a TV set playing at a booth at a comic convention in the 90s/early 2000s. You know, where the vendor had a table filled with all those different fan film Batman, Star Wars and Matrix VHS tapes.

Think about that for a second. You could take that trailer, go back in time to 1999, throw it on a tv and most people wouldnt even pay attention to it. Fans would care more about the Episode I - II.

The only thing missing is a Matrix soundtrack accompanying it.

It really does have that fan film look, just with higher production values.
