Actually that?s a good point. But to me, the one character the embodies the ?I don?t give a crap that your Darth Vader was Tarkin. He was unimpressed with Vader from the start.

There are a few who don't shake in their boots when talking to him. Tarkin was both his superior and his old buddy.

Honestly , even Fett , with his comebacks to Vader, was dismissed by Vader pretty quickly.

LOL...I just don't see it. They're not even 'comebacks'.

"As you wish." = "Satisfaction guaranteed." *not* "Whatever, you little *****, fine, spoil my fun because I LOVE TO KILL KILL KILL RAAaaUUhhhgGHH I'M SO BADASS don't cross me!'

Hell, if he has a reputation for disintegrations, that just means he's been accused before of being a shady rip-off artist who can't provide proof of a job well done. I can see the Space Yelp review now:

"Typical contractor nightmare. Took my deposit, claimed he 'disintegrated' the target, but of course there's no proof whatsoever. Demands full payment but how do I know target hasn't skipped the system for cocktails at the beach on Scarif? Overrated. Will not hire again."

"Hired by the Empire to capture rebels of interest. Provided excellent service insofar as locating and tracking them, but left the heavy lifting of capture up to us, then complained about potential damage to one of the targets which he expected us to hand over so he could double-dip on the job. A little unprofessional, but we gave him the benefit of the doubt in consideration of services rendered."

"What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me." = "Waaaah! I wanna double-dip! Who's gonna pay me? I have child support payments to make!" *not* "RAAuuhhGGHH I'll KIIIILLL YOOUUU if you mess with my paycheque I'm NOT AFRAID!!1!"

Hell, if you want to imagine things to fill in the gaps, maybe Boba Fett was in over his head and didn't know Darth Vader could straight up kill him with a thought. Maybe Vader saw him as an amusing and sassy child. :lol

*DISCLAIMER* This was idle satire. Y'all can imagine Boba Fett anyway you want. Enjoy. :duff

What we really got was a glimmer of potential , a slight respect from Vader, that was all dashed to bits by a jet pack that was obviously not well maintained......

He was just a useful contractor that served the Empire's interests to be mildly indulgent with. As you saw in the palace in ROTJ, Fett has a thing for alien chicks and obviously has a lot of child support to pay out, hence the beat-to-hell poorly maintained armour and faulty jetpack. Dude couldn't even afford to a new paint job. :lol

How did we not see this? :slap It makes perfect sense that Vader's actions in a movie released in 1980 would be influenced by his feelings for a character that was created 25+ years later. I'm picturing Lucas explaining this influence to James Earl Jones when directing him on his line readings & JEJ asking if he's gotten into Carrie's cocaine stash again.

And all these years I thought it was just one badass hiring another competent badass. It's so much better knowing that ESB Vader is just a big softy when it comes to the sound of another man's voice.

:lol

Search your feelings, particularly your feminine side... you know it to be true.

Search your timelines, you know.....oh, never mind...

Vader is an avid subscriber to Boba Fett's ASMR youtube channel. That's what he's watching in his meditation chamber in ESB whenever Piett or Veers interrupts him.

As for only the OT being canon...I'm fine with having three overlapping canons and then just focusing on whichever one I happen to be watching at the time.

1. Original Theatrical OT Canon
2. Original Theatrical OT + ST and RO Canon
3. Full Disney Canon (PT/Solo/RO/OT SE/Mando/ST)

One thing I really loved about Season 1 of Mando is that I could still fit it into canons 1 and 2. Season 2 is now full Canon 3 unfortunately.

I just don't get the desire to turn Vader closer to Bob from Fight Club. :dunno

It actually destroys the redemption angle if he's still that much Anakin while ruthlessly killing people. Let's just leave it at Vader ceased to be Anakin Skywalker until his son, who clearly even reached into his mind with the Force, unlocked Anakin for the first time in 20 years.

We've got a comic with Vader getting misty over C-3PO. Now we've got him attached to Fett because Rex's voice gives him the feels. I'm sure someone out there is working on a story where Vader's getting weepy because Plo Koon deserved better. Just stop.

whoops :lol *canon

My actual Star Wars cannon... from TCW, got a couple of them for the 3.75" display :lol

Well for those whom like Vader more ruthless, again watch him in Rebels. He only offers Ahsoka the opportunity to join him once before telling her he is going to murder her.....

Pretty cut and dry bad ass murderer on that ?kiddie? show.

Then he does try to kill her.

And I would say next to Obi he had the closest relation to Ahsoka.

Yup

I’m just not really getting into the D+ MCU vibe even if it turns out good.

I’m about to start my half decade LOTR viewing (because of the 4k upgrade) and when that is done then i’m really left with nothing new to excite me.

Supposedly the ObiWan and Cassian trailers are soon to be revealed.

Mando should have been 13 episodes. :gah:

Instead Iron Fist was 13 lol
