So true. Even with this show's missteps I'll still take non-canon Fat Boba over canon Fat Thor.

I mean Star Wars nowadays borrows very hard from MCU. You can even say Fat Thor paved the way for Fat Boba (even if marketing slims down the poster.)

Favreau is basically the originator of the MCU, so it makes sense. There are some shots in the Mandalorian where I swear its from Iron Man, and realize who the director is.

Yup

I’m just not really getting into the D+ MCU vibe even if it turns out good.

I’m about to start my half decade LOTR viewing (because of the 4k upgrade) and when that is done then i’m really left with nothing new to excite me.

Supposedly the ObiWan and Cassian trailers are soon to be revealed.

Mando should have been 13 episodes. :gah:

Instead Iron Fist was 13 lol

Oh wow you're right Marvel has Wandavision and Falcon and Winter Soldier and whatever else doesn't it. We've even gotten *trailers* for those and I still forgot about them. Meanwhile I'm already counting the days until next season of Mando, Obi-Wan, etc. arrives. I mean like everyone I'll definitely watch the MCU stuff but only to pass the time while waiting for new D+ SW, lol.

This is all because Endgame was not that good ;)

I have still yet to watch it again when I thought I might be ready to enjoy it more.. Like all you I am burnt to a crisp on Marvel.

I just wanna know if MCU shows will deal with a post-Endgame reality where 3.5 billion people are put back on a planet that would've already cut resources in half since last time they were around. How do enough of them get fed, housed, medically treated, schooled, and so forth?

Spouses arriving at their old home to find that they're now *ex* spouses. Their kids being raised by new people. Their home not being legally theirs anymore because they've been declared dead. Their jobs being gone. Bank accounts dissolved or dispersed to survivors. Now *that's* drama. :lol

Thanos will still get what he wanted, it's just that it'll take longer and be more brutal as people fight for resources and survival of the fittest breaks out. Still ends up in a culling. Inevitable indeed. Good job, heroes. :lol

I mean we live in a world of Star Wars where a massive galactic war takes place between robots and the jedi led clone army, and right after that everybody forgets what a Jedi is, even though they have been famous for centuries.

I really enjoy Star Wars, but lets not act its not downright stupid at times. MCU will likely give great content, and everybody will tune in.

If you want to go re-watch Rise of Skywalker instead...you can go ahead.

Didn't mean to hit a nerve. Star Wars hasn't been exempt from very questionable plot logic either. I wasn't suggesting otherwise.

I'm actually pretty psyched for the MCU Disney+ shows. We haven't had any new MCU content since Far From Home, and I miss the hell out of it. I'm definitely looking forward to WandaVision in January.

More replying to the other comments. Like people here aren't going to tune into all the live action MCU or Star Wars content they can get their hands on.

Its been nearly 1.5 years since I had new MCU, and I am getting hungry. Wanda/Vision also looks pretty interesting.

It sounds like one way EG is going to be resolved is Wanda altering reality.

I imagine there would have been a massive rise in suicides after the snap too.

That is a lot to think about. It would be like you coming home from college to find your mom threw out all your Star Wars toys and comics and is renting your room... only global.

Yeah, that drives me nuts in Star Wars. It makes 20-30 years out to be centuries some times. Like in Mando, everyone would be saying: Hey -- is that Yoda's baby?

...or my wife who asks is that Yoda...as a baby. It's almost endearing how little she cares about the stuff I care about :)

I can't even get my wife to watch Mandalorian.

She never really liked Star Wars, and she honestly asked me if the recent trilogy was anywhere near as good as the MCU movies. I gave her a sour face and she was like yeah, I will stick with The Boys.

Yeah, that would make sense.

Too cruel. *shudders*

I know it'd never be a storyline that the MCU would delve into, but I honestly would be intrigued to watch the post-Endgame aftermath of that stuff play out on screen.

Also have to admit that I do kinda like the idea of Thanos still getting what he sought. The IW Thanos might just be the best job of realizing a comic character's full potential on screen. Not saying there haven't been better characters/performances translated from page to screen, but as far as maximizing potential? Very high on the list.

If the Mando creators could get near that type of page-to-screen realization with Thrawn, I'd be ecstatic. Just not expecting it, though.

How did we not see this? :slap It makes perfect sense that Vader's actions in a movie released in 1980 would be influenced by his feelings for a character that was created 25+ years later. I'm picturing Lucas explaining this influence to James Earl Jones when directing him on his line readings & JEJ asking if he's gotten into Carrie's cocaine stash again.

:lol

Search your timelines, you know.....oh, never mind...

Luke kissed his sister in ESB...............

If you go by that way than Boba is just a guy with a cool design and gun, Star Wars is ever evolving and getting layers as one single continuity through the expanded content like books,TCW or Mandalorian.

Yep. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had in a movie theater and yet...now that the Infinity Saga is over it just hasn't been drawing me back for a revisit over the past year.

But SW binging is endless.

Boba is just a guy with a cool design and gun

:slap

I don't know much about Thrawn but I am intrigued.

Gonna depend on how much you enjoy cerebral villains. He's very proficient in hand-to-hand combat as well, but in a universe of Jedi and characters wearing impenetrable armor with homing darts, I don't expect that to be a prominent part of his role.

I wonder if Xizor has a chance?

Most EU characters seem to be likely to get resurrected in the current live action canon. Some (like Mara Jade) would have to be greatly re-contextualized, but EU characters definitely seem to be a focus now.

Xizor > Thrawn

I was just basing that off my N64 nostalgia for SOTE lol
