Well it beats the hell out of "Yaddle" at least, lol.
Something we can agree on!

So I?m a native English speaker and have no such problems with the name, rolls off the tongue just fine.
If I had to compare the phonemes to a real language, I?d say maybe Japanese comes to mind first; which if anything seems appropriate to me given the show?s vibe at times.
Your speculation that Favreau or whoever regrets it is ... well ... odd to me. We have no way of knowing it?s just that you hate the name.
I don?t think any name could have pleased everyone. I happen to like it but it?s such an arbitrary and subjective thing.
Although I wouldn?t name my kid Grogu. Maybe a chihuahua or something.

People were always going to hate the name no matter what it was, because they?d had over a year to speculate and build expectations.
In 2020, laziness is nothing to criticize or mock. What were they thinking using a profile shot of that physique for the poster, lol.
Come on TM Frank Oz is in better shape than you for crying out loud.
They won't kill Bill Burr because he got a Disney+ series too...
Lot of truth in this. No matter what it was going to be people weren?t going to like baby Yoda having a name. Personally I hate that monicker. The Child always resonated with me more. But Grogu it is now.
Yep, same. Mando, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka for SW. WandaVision for Marvel, though I'm a tad iffy on even that one. Three Mando quality SW shows will be awesome though even if the rest sucks.

All these spinoff shows have a much better chance to harm a great thing going(The Mandalorian) than they do of succeeding. Jon Favreaus don't grow on trees.
